MrB HATES her, and while I understand and agree with his reasons (he is an employee of the DOD and about as conservative as you get) she earns SOME brownie points with me for "9 to 5". And she was great in Monster in Law.

Met her on several occasions, my old babysitter is best friends with her daughter Vanessa Vadim. Great lady-witty, funny, smart, charming and extremely generous. The bad news? Still is a pushover for Ted Turner's shit and she is absolutely horrible to anyone her son dates. Monster in law wasn't too far fetched.

I want to like her. I love a lot of her movies and I really do think she is a nice person but the shit she pulled during the Vietnam war makes it really difficult to support her. And with that final post I am off for the weekend. Like I actually got any work done today lol. Have a great weekend folks and I look forward to slacking off again here instead of working come Monday!  |

My friend went on a field trip when she was in high school to some place Ted Turner-related in Atlanta -- I don't remember if it was at CNN headquarters or not, but it was something along those lines. Anyhoo, she and her friend were in the bathroom primping in the mirror when the conversation turned to Jane Fonda and they started ripping on her aerobics videos and the fact that she had lipo. Suddenly, the toilet flushes and who should step out of the stall, but Ms. Fonda herself. My friend and her friend beat a hasty retreat.
That's the only thing I got about her. Every time I see her or see her name I always think about my friend who made fun of her (practically) right to her face in the bathroom of some sort of Ted Turner - related building.

I'm college age so I really hadn't heard about her until recently. From the interviews she's done for her book I actually really like her. She talked very honestly about her past, even when it made her look bad.
