The Chicks, Including Natalie, will be touring again!! Just for one month and opening for The Eagles. It's on yahoo's homepage. I'd love to see them!

That's awesome they are doing a little mini-tour with The Eagles! I believe Don Henley was openly supportive of them during "the incident" so it's totally surprising they would be willing to open for them.
A few weeks ago I watched their documentary Shut Up and Sing. I don't see how anyone can watch that and then argue Martie and Emily hate Natalie. Martie got downright emotional talking about how much she loves and supports Natalie! Natalie was there when Emily gave birth (was I the only who thought Charlie Robinson gave some really angry vibes?)! Also, when the protesters showed up with "F.U.D.C." signs, I laughed a lot harder than I should have when Natalie quipped, "Gee, I like your signs but what do you have against Dick Cheney?" Natalie is bratty but she can be pretty quick witted!

Ages ago my friend got us all tickets to their concert before the incident. Afterward we all said "we're still going" even though my friends were pretty conservative.
I'm kind of excited they're back.

Whew, she’s spilling some tea!
I’m so glad they’re back. I’ve been on a DC kick lately listening to their old albums.

Ages ago my friend got us all tickets to their concert before the incident. Afterward we all said "we're still going" even though my friends were pretty conservative. I'm kind of excited they're back. It still blows my mind the way all that went down. And that was over GWB, can you imagine if the same had happened in the current climate? They probably would have had to go into witness protection. I don't care for the chorus of the new song, but I just love Natalie Maines' voice, so I enjoyed the verses. I was reading the conversation above about the change in direction that Emily and Martie made from their original group (from 10 years ago, ack!) and my feeling is that Natalie's voice is as much responsible as anything for the change in their fortunes once she came along. Very distinctive and memorable. But yeah, I don't know what the original band was EVER thinking with that image they went with.
