I recommend watching the video.
First, I enjoy that they featured many people protesting by dancing in front of cops to show them they aren’t scared.
Second, they list the names of people killed by cops at the end of the video, and the number of names is both shocking and heartbreaking.

That made me tear up. I think it was a commendable choice that they didn't put themselves in the video to keep the focus on all the images that they were presenting.

It appears they may have changed their name to just “The Chicks” and did so in conjunction with the release of this song/video: March MarchI thought “Dixie” may get a bit of a pass since it’s not quite as strongly tied to slavery as something like “Antebellum” and hell, I was willing to give them a pass after they got “canceled” and their careers ruined for daring to criticize Bush. But this appears to be where they are moving. Yeah, I think they would have gotten a pass, but really, who better to send this message? They already lost it all over the GWB stuff and never apologized for taking that stand, mild as it was. They already stood against the Toby Keith flag-waving crowd when their built-in audience was 100% against them, so they're pretty much free to do whatever they want to now. Surviving a lightning rod as huge as they did, who's going to try to "manage" their image now?

On today's Kelly Clarkson show, her cover song at the beginning was "Cowboy Take Me Away". She introduced the song as by The Chicks and the banner at the the bottom of the screen read "formerly The Dixie Chicks”.
She sounded good. I like how she doesn't seem to care about putting on makeup for her remote shows.
She also interviewed a young black woman who's a fan of country music, who relayed a few of her concert going experiences.

Their album is out now, and I like it. It feels like Natalie’s “Lemonade” but instead of a happy ending, it’s more of a “Well, this sucks but I guess I gotta keep moving on” type of thing. I enjoy the continued displays of sisterhood in the latest video, Sleep at Night. I especially like the sisters pointing at the camera all, “j'accuse!” And if you wondered what happened on Natalie’s boat (as she mentions in “Gaslighter”), they’ve got a track for that - Tights on my Boat. Some of the lyrics are pretty brutal.

Or am I taking it too literally?

I saw Natalie say the tights line was just for drama which bummed me out a little because I love tea. But her (ex)-husband was rumoured to have had an affair with a very, very young Hayden Panettiere on the set of Heroes back in the day so I’m just running with that because the thought of some of the lyrics being about Hayden is a laugh.
