No! I love Peter Boyle! *sniff* I adored him in While You Were Sleeping. Damn, we lost both him and Jack Warden in the same year.
RIP dear Peter.

How sad. My favorite role of his will always be as The Creature in Young Frankenstein. Even since I first saw it, I've never listened to "Puttin' On the Ritz" the same way.
RIP, Peter.

Oh, dear. I was never a big Everyone Loves Raymond fan. My soft spot for him goes way back to Young Frankenstein -- Especially the part where it takes him a couple beats to realize the blind man (Gene Hackman) has ignited his thumb rather than his cigar.
Strange how just a few months ago someone here said they had a feeling something wasn't right, physically, with him and had a sense of foreboding. I think the person based this on a gaunt look he had about him lately.
Anyhow, he was lucky that he got to end his career as part of a hit series.

I know he'd had some health problems, but this seems out of the blue. He had a long and notable career.
RIP, Peter
Trivia: I recall that he and John Lennon were good friends. I think Boyle's wife was a Rolling Stone writer and that's how they met.

He just seemed like such a nice funny guy. He was also one of the few characters I could handle on Everybody Loves Raymond. OK, he was the ONLY character I liked on that show.
He was awesome in comedy like Young Frankenstein but then he'd blow you away in things like Monster's Ball.
On cable (A&E? Bravo?) they did a 100 funniest movie moments countdown and his "Puttin' on the Ritz" scene was mentioned and he did the voice again and was like "It's so silly" chuckling to himself. He just seemed so humble but funny.

"Puttin' on the Ritz" is one of my all-time favorite scenes. He did so much with that role without saying a word. I love the blind man scene, as well.
He'll be missed.

I always liked him. Hated Raymond, but he was always amusing. RIP, thanks for the laughs.
