That is true to some extent, though I know many who like it, but most people love Evan's work. I still find her a bit iffy.

I think she's a pretty good actress but her looks are so severely over-rated... I mean come on, drop-dead gorgeous? REALLY? She's blonde and skinny and kind cute, so is every other girl at the mall. I think she looks cross-eyed in the picture posted.

I don't get the whole drop dead gorgeous thing either. She is the young version of Holly Hunter, and I have never heard of her being gorgeous.

As for her acting, she seems good except when she has a crying scene. For examples, her horrifically bad crying scene in Thirteen as well as her freak out scene in the Green Day video. Laughably bad I would say.

I also don't see the gorgeousness. She is certainly a pretty girl and she does have that extra charisma about her that makes her stand out next to other pretty blondes, but I don't look at her and see a vision of lovliness.

I don't know whether I would call her gorgeous. Sometimes she does look quite look quite gorgeous but a lot of the time she just looks pretty.

Like I said before I didn't think she was bad in the Green day video crying scene but I can definately see why that scene would annoy people. Her voice is hard to bear when she freaks out.

Can't say I agree she had an awkward teen phase but I can see why some people might not find her all that pretty. She does have some unconventional features. Which is not necessarily bad because most people do but I can see why they might take away from her attractiveness for some people.

Anyways,I too hope that she will have a commercial breakthrough soon. She does have one wide release coming up. It's a Beatles musical which could be disastrous but I think it has a decent chance at turning out okay. Julie Taymor is directing it and I've heard she' had success directing musical plays and is a fairly good director so it might turn out well and do okay at the box office.

I think she's pretty, but I see a hundred girls that look like her at College every day. She's not movie star pretty or the type of pretty that makes you look twice when you see a photo of her. In fact, in the Green Day video she looks a lot like Avril.

Thirteen was the most overrated piece of crap I've seen in my life and I think that any young actress could've played that role, so it bugged me that she seemed to get such major props for it.

I do like her though, if only for the fact that she's so different to the famewhoring Hilary Duffs and Lindsay Lohans of the world.

Sorry...I should clarify. I actually meant that she hadn't had an awkward teen stage...I just meant that teen years can be downright fug for people (i.e. me) and she didn't really go through that.

When I was talking about "awkward teen years", I just meant it was a bad idea to decide how stunning someone is when they're still in their teens.

I feel the opposite. I thought that Nikki Reid was way overrated, but I thought that ERW didn't get the acknowledgment she should have...I just remember Keisha Castle Hughes getting nominated for an Oscar and thinking it should have gone to Evan Rachel.

I thought the film was great although I was not too impressed with Evan Rachel or Nikki Reid. Although didn't Nikki write the book or sceenplay or am I high again? I do think Holly Hunter was fantasic in it although I tend to think Holly is a fantastic actress period. Regardless, I saw the film several times and really enjoyed it.

I'll always have much love for Evan for her part on Once And Again. Of course, I have a soft spot for Mischa Barton for the same reason, so make of that what you will.



If the rumours of her and Norton are true then I don't know what to think of it. I love Edward Norton's work, but he's got quite the rep for being a pretentious, arrogant, condesending jackass. A guy like that dating girl half his age would seem to me to be in order to have some one who doesn't talk back too much. I hope I'm wrong.
