I know! I just finished watching that! That was sooooo hot.
Only problem-needed more little Ewan. But other than that....hot. Very, very, very hot.

Me too. Although, in my case, it was because some of his high notes are like nails on a chalkboard. I think Ewan's voice is really nice, but he doesn't exactly have a wide range. Still, doesn't stop me from watching his singing scenes in Moulin Rouge!, Down With Love and A Life Less Ordinary obsessively.
Until this thread, I was totally able to banish Nightwatch from mind. I was horrified when I saw it when it first came on video - I'm pretty sure it was my intro to necro.

Oh, I forgot about A Life Less Ordinary. That was the first Ewan movie I ever saw, and that's when I fell in love.

Gah...As much as I adore him in practically every film and tv show I've seen him on, I do not think I could really enjoy watching that.
I'm glad you finally got to see it! I have mad love for this film despite its flaws. There are certain scenes that I will watch over an over, and others that I will just fastforward past.
A huge problem indeed!

Amen to that! If you wanna see more of Ewan in all his glory, then get your hands on a copy of the unrated version of Young Adam ASAP. Talk about hot!

While there is quite a bit of ...ahem...Ewan's bits in The Pillow Book, I didn't enjoy it as much I had hoped. But Young Adam--loved it. A very dark role, his character Joe lacked any of the redeeming or endearing traits found in his other characters. Even Renton seems a more likeable fellow than Joe. But Ewan was teh sex in YA, custard-spanking scene and all.
And if you haven't seen it, add Shallow Grave to your rental list. It's great.
