*sigh* I would love to help him "celebrate".
If only.

Looks like Mr McGregor has his latest certain-to-be-critically-mauled movie lined up. Ewan is in talks to star in Dan Brown potboiler Angels and Demons with Tom Hanks.

Well, at least that one will make a ton of money, unlike his latest Deception, which will be lucky to make $3M this weekend.

Too bad. Hopefully the next couple movies will FINALLY get him elected Sexiest Man Alive. I mean, they've done Tom Fucking Cruise, but not Ewan? WTF? Anyhoo, he's going to be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on April 28th, tomorrow night!. Set your VCRs/TIVOS!!! Ewan McGregor says cancer scare was 'no big deal'Eeek!

Anyhoo, he's going to be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on April 28th, tomorrow night!. Set your VCRs/TIVOS!!! Man, that was one of the funniest late night show interviews I've ever seen. Bonus points to Ewan for the "Tom Cruise" crack (complete with blurred out hand action). Hope the Crazy One doesn't sue him. The ESPN UK skit afterward was hysterical--neither Craig or Ewan could keep a straight face and Ewan was in tears. It pained me to delete the episode from my DVR, but I needed the space.

Well, let's not forget-it was most likely Cruise and Co. who spread the rumors about Ewan and Nicole having an affair. So he's got an even bigger motive. (What was the actual comment, btw, I forgot-just that Craig made a remark about Cruise and the Clams, and Ewan flipped the bird) (Although haggis sounds disgusting. Sorry, no way would I eat that. I'm so glad I'm Polish, and that our festival food is pierogis.) ETA: McGregor Squares Off with Hanks

OK, let's see if I remember this correctly. Ewan and Craig were talking about flying lessons and different types of planes. (I know next-to-nothing about planes, so my terminology will be off here.) They were talking about different steering devices--a wheel vs. a stick. Craig preferred the wheel-type, but Ewan said he liked the stick, cracking that it was more "Tom Cruise". Craig said something, then Ewan made the blurred-out hand motion/signal, which my dirty mind read as...er, something other than flipping the bird, especially in light of all of the "stick" talk going on. No matter what, it was hilarious.
(PS: Love the Evelyn Nesbit avatar!)

Thanks-I've been getting a LOT of compliments.
Yeah, it appears it was more of a "floggin' the dog" than the bird. Hey. I'd be more than happy to help him out with that.

I really love Ewan McGregor, but he's on my list of favorite actors who sometimes pick material that seems really beneath them. Or maybe I should call the list Favorite Actors Who Do Movies That Couldn't Appeal to Me Less. See also, Colin Firth.
Crappy movie or not, as long as he does some promos for it, I'm good.
I'm thinking I need to netflix the polar bear documentary soon.
