Ooh, never heard the Kate Capshaw rumor--just that both she and JT have their boy toys on the side.

I know I posted this on the disapeared Kelly Preston thread, but some hotel-worker friends of mine had a chance to observe Jett, and he behaved like a royal terror, very out of control with full time caretakers--not age appropriate. His behavior was in line with a severely autistic kid given no boundaries.
Kawisaki can cause lasting damage--to the heart. It does not cause autism or autism-like symptoms/behavior; it does not cause mental retardation; it does not cause behavioral problems at all.
Preston is such a hypocrite about the chemicals; how much jet fuel have those kids huffed as they fly off from one locale to the next.

Not to mention the fuel that....hahahah...must have been required for that crazy ass Very Special Crib that Travolta was supposed to have delivered to "Suri" with much fanfare...

My nephew had Kawasaki Syndrome at about 11 months of age - he nearly died in the hospital, more than once. He is completely normal now at age 9. His mother was warned of possible heart problems (she has another son who has Asperger's (?) Syndrome, so she did pay attention to whatever the doctors told her), but none have come to pass. He is a holy terror, but so are most 9-year-old boys. He's such a cutie - I had to pick him up from school today and take him home because he missed his bus (because he was apparently talking to some girl - see, NORMAL).

[Off topic]I’m sorry to interrupt, but could the people on this board please stop talking about autism. I don’t mean to be so sensitive, but I have autism, and it’s not as bad as people seem to think it is. I also think he should get help, but there is a lot of controversy about what kind of help is best. Many adults who are autistic have formed advocacy groups speak out against what they felt was inappropriate treatment during their youth. I disagree with the more extreme examples( I think that people with autism benefit from some therapy), I don’t like being told I have a “condition” that needs to be “cured” I’m sorry do be a downer.[/Off topic]

defaultusername - sorry, I must have been posting at the same time you were writing yours. I know that there is a lot of controversy about treatments but ignoring the condition is no treatment at all, and that is what it sounds like the Travoltas are doing.
Jett's behavior does sound like autism - toward the more severe end of the spectrum. My son is autistic, and the therapy and meds he's had have made a huge difference. It makes me fucking sick to think that the clams try to ignore their son's condition completely, or blame it on chemical fumes and "treat" it with vitamins and other nonsense.
On another note, I remember reading a suck-up article (in Ladies Home Journal?) about this beyotch and her fabulous romantic life. Apparently they travel most of the time (not necessarily for work) and the kids get dragged along - the article didn't say but I assume they are clam-"educated". The whole family, kids included, sleep all day and get up in the late afternoon or early evening then stay up all night.
I realize that different people have different habits and needs but most people will at least try to give their kids some semblance of "normal" life.
Ooh, I would love to hear more about the Kate Capshaw and KP rumors.

I believe what everyone's freaked out about (I am, anyway) is the fact that if (and I say "if" because we have no way of knowing this) Jett Travolta has autism, he's likely not getting the proper therapy for it because of his parents' beliefs. I would feel the same way if he had diabetes or leukemia or a learning disability or polio or nearsightedness. No one here means any offense whatsoever.

I want to know more about the Charlie Sheen foot-shooting. I forget the whole story, but I think they said that Kelly picked up a pair of Charlie's pants, a gun fell out, went off, hit the toilet, and a piece of the toilet shot back and hit her in the leg. Whatever. I remember thinking the story they told had various unnecessary details, which is often an idication of lying. That, and Charlie Sheen and Kelly Preston are weirdos and it makes sense that'd he'd shoot her.
