I never thought he was all that goodlooking in the first place, and this really puts me off.

Huh. At first, I thought, "dead?" and then I was relieved, and now I'm just kind of disgusted. I liked him in Highlander though, and Celebrity Jeopardy.

Eh, I've never cared for him one way or the other - never really got the attraction (especially after he became bald).
But I hate when these nobodies do tell alls. Diane Cilento? Am I the only one who's never heard of her? The only reason anyone would buy her autobiography is for these kinds of stories. Does the world really need to hear it? He's been married to someone else for many years - he's her problem now. Unlikely he'll be dating and beating up new women at age 75.

He actually said in an interview it's OK to hit women when there's no other option?
How about you just walk away, fuckface?
I've said in other threads it bothers me too when women write tell-alls of their relationships with celebrities, but in this case I'll give her a pass. If it was that brutal - consider the time she was living in. Even in cases of extreme abuse, if you left your husband, you were still considered a loose woman and shunned by polite society.
My grandmother and father were once chased through their apartment building by my grandfather with a knife, a culmination of years of abuse, and her mother still castigated her for wanting a divorce.

It's beyond me why so many women seem to think this abusive, crass pig is sexy. Good for her for writing the book.

I hate this asshat. On a funny note, MST3K riffed on Double 007 with his brother as the secret agent. Too funny.

She was Oscar-nominated and obviously well known in the British part of the world, not a nobody, and she's got as much right to tell her story as anyone else. I don't think the "Sean Connery beat the crap out of me" story is the sole focus of this book, either. Whatever, when my grandmother divorced my grandfather, back around 1960, after years of beatings and his drinking, she was the one who had to have a character witness in court!

I've always hated him and always believed that he was a pig. I think it's disgusting that people find this waste of space "sexy."
