Can't link from my phone, but my favorite video of all time is Mick and David's "Dancing In The Street". It is the weirdest, most random thing I've ever seen and I just adore it. Mick picking up an open beer can off the floor, David doing a little samba move, their singing into each other's eyes. God I miss him. I adore Dancing in the Streets video , I love that for Live Aid Bowie and Jagger wanted to do a trans Atlantic duet David in London and Mick in Philadelphia but it couldn't be done due to a seconds time delay so video happened instead! That video for Sorrow is blocked for me..grrr!

We'd call my mom to watch the Dancing in the Streets video whenever it came on, and she'd laugh and laugh. She'd also laugh at Klaus Nomi's video for Total Eclipse. She prefers classical music, Barry Manilow, Barbra Streisand, and things like that. So she enjoyed those videos, but for the wrong reasons.
I loooooved the Ashes to Ashes video, which MTV hardly ever played, and we didn't have Youtube back then.
I am going to feed the cats, then watch Ashes to Ashes!

God, I adored him. I agree with the comment on the "Afraid of Americans" video, that he got sexier as he got older.

Just vocals Under Pressure Freddie and David. Miss both of them. Going back to Dancing in the Street and therefore Live Aid it was Bowie's own performance then that imprinted me so much and Queens, in fact Live Aid in general was a stand out music moment in time for me.

My husband is asleep next to me, I have no headphones nearby (and too cold to get out from under the flannels yet) but I wanted to see Dancing in the Streets for old times sake. I highly recommend watching it without sound. Made watching these two titans of rock even campier, weirder and more fun. I couldn't love them more if I tried.

Davis Bowie Is... is coming to Brooklyn in March for a few months and I have about a dozen visits already planned and paid for. I've wanted to see this exhibition since its debut at the V&A in London in 2013, and thrilled that it's finally going to be here. Can't wait to see the costumes up front, and the little artifacts that he kept and protected like a magpie over the years...everything from pages in his personal notebooks to his coke spoon. It's going to be pretty damn epic.
