Well, now that FT's forums are closing, I figured I'd start a thread here for everyone's favorite little Harajuku slavedriver.

You know, I've never really read her thread or posted on it at FT, but I must say: Does anyone 'round here think the Asian girl posse to be slightly racist? It rubs me the wrong way.

Oh yeah, it has been mentioned, along with Gwen being crazy and freaky. In fact, many things have been said about Gwen but most importantly that she has really freaky issues about relationship control.

Or rather, bitch crazy.

Many references to her alleged racism have been made, and I just don't see it. I've never been on the receiving end of that though, so maybe I just don't recognize it.

This was in Sunday Styles section of New York times this morning:

Discusses briefly the fuss over whether Gwen's new style is Gothic Lolita or not (which it isn't really, too slutty) and then goes on to talk about the origins of the style:

Gothic and Lolita got its start in the early to mid-1990's among Japanese schoolgirls inspired by the band Malice Mizer and in particular by Mana, the band's effeminate guitarist, who wore black and white ruffled dresses, elaborate bows, false eyelashes and heavy white makeup.

I do believe Mana is about the same age as Gwen, and he looks much better than she does.

Since I have nowhere else to post my celebrity sighting of Gavin Rossdale (RIP FT boards) I'll do it here. Saw him on the street (in Bev Hills, natch) talking on a cell phone and saying in the sweetest voice "Well, shall I just wait for the car then?" Dude was about a million kinds of smokin' hot and his wife is so out of his league.

Well, if the BIs are true, boy may be smokin' hot but apparently he spends a lot of time sucking Keanu Reeves' dick. So, you know, there may be tradeoffs for Gwen.

I love Gwen, but her Harajuku Girls obsession is really creeping me out. I kinda miss the old, Tragic Kingdom-era Gwen.

I can't stand this chick. She's the Poor Man's Madonna. Her whiney voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. And she's gonna burn out her hair (can anyone say, Christian Aguillera?) w all those deep fry dye jobs. And what an EGO!!! Someone needs to slam a pie into her Fugly-ass pus. Yuck.
