So 30-something Gwen is singing songs about high school phenomena? Wow, she is REALLY reaching!
BTW--thanks, Ginger!

What's sadder is that in the video Gwen appears to actually be a highschool girl.
I'm disappointed about the boob job. She does have a fantastic body though.

I think Gwen should call her next album "Slang". Tracks could include "A Million Times Word", "Talk to the Hand (Gavin, you cheating ass)", "Pants": a tribute to her adopted home of London, "It's Like, You Know,..." which would be about world peace and of course the obligatory feminist anthem "You Go Girl!(Grrl Power)".
It'd be rad.

Spider, what an excellent idea! Maybe she could do a duet with Paris called (what else?) "That's Hott!"

First cab of the rank: Harajuku Lovers Digital Camera, with matching bag, strap and trinket all designed by Gwen. It will match the underwear she'll be bringing out soon. Yeah. Seriously. but wait! There's more! Her "Harajuku Lovers" line will also include housewares, stationary and dolls. Housewares?! lol hilarious. The song is not half as bad as Harajuku Girls, though: My boyfriend bought me a Hysteric Glamour shirt They're hard to find in the states, got me feeling couture What's that you got on? Is it Comme des Garcons? Vivienne Westwood can't go wrong, mixed up with second hand clothes (Let's not forget about John Galliano) (no) Flipped the landscape when Nigo made A Bathing Ape I got expensive taste (oh, well) guess I better save up (cho takai) ... Did you see your inspiration in my latest collection? Just wait 'til you get your little hands on L.A.M.B., 'Cause it's (super kawaii), that means (super cute in Japanese) The streets of Harajuku are your catwalk (bishoujo you're so vogue) That's what you drop ... Harajuku Girls you got the wicked style I like the way that you are, I am your biggest fan

Housewares? Like blenders and coffee pots? If so then that's possibly one of the most assinine ideas a celeb has ever had.

I love Gwen, but I have to say...
1. The lyrics to Harajuku Girls are ridiculous
2. For someone so into fashion, the only designers she seems to know are John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood, and she drops those names over and over and over again. No love for Versace? Or Stella? Or Betsey Johnson, who I am shocked she's not like, totally into.
3. L.A.M.B. blows. (The clothing line.) I'm repulsed by about 98% of it. I like the shirt she is hawking on the cover of Marie Claire this month though. It's cute.

She's on the cover of Allure and the interview is BANANAs. She is functionally retarded, ya'll.
For example:
..."Stefani refuses to call herself a feminist. 'Before I could say whether or not I am one, I need an exact definition of what "feminist" means.'
It's called a dictionary, Gwen. Look it up.
Every time her husband is mentioned she calls him "hot." When the interviewer presses for more personal information, she says, "maybe you should just quit while you're ahead, huh? Before you start asking questions I really don't want to answer."
The interviewer surmises that "Stefani may be incomprehensively different under her Gwen Stefani suit. She is a business woman with a marketing plan and she may be less carefree and more fragile at times than she appears."
The magazine does a fashion retrospective of her, but oddly enough, there are only three of her from before 2002 (isn't that around the time the stylist got ahold of her?) I'm assuming she has some say in the choice of photos. In one that shows her abs, she says. "Oh, my God, look how tight my body is! That was right after the tour. We were so fit. We had the show every night and we'd work out every day. We had, like, two trainers."
Man, she really is dumb. And vain.
Edited to add: And materialistic. Dude, when you put designer's names in your songs, it's not art.

I don't care for Gwen. I just don't buy into her "I'm-just-a-girl-from-Anaheim-I'm-really-such-a-dork-and-am-so down-to-earth" shtick. I don't know why, but I've always felt that in reality she's a cold, shrill, diva bitch who has carefully constructed her image in order to sell more product (this might not be true, of course, but that is how I feel). Congrats to her, because it worked. Her solo album was wildly successful, she's got L.A.M.B. taking off, and I don't doubt that Harajuku Lovers will do extraordinarily well. I also have to give her props for being able to put out some really catchy singles -- I might not like her, but she's certainly cranked out some songs that I can't help but like.
Anyway, I didn't think she came across very well in the Allure article, but I didn't think she came across as particularly stupid, either. I give her a pass on the feminist thing, because in all honesty, people have a lot of different definitions of what feminism is, and I can't blame her for wanting someone to clarify what they mean when they call her a "feminist."
