Actually I thought she was pretty beguiling in "Beautiful Girls".
Everytime I look at a pix of Mariska Hargitay I feel like I'm looking at a pix of Natalie in 20 years.

Saw Star Wars. It was good, but frankly I wish they would have let her break more then just a thin layer of sweat. Perhaps a hair out of place? Not to mention that the nightgown she wears has pearl strap thingies that dangle near her upper arms. THAT was a nightgown? I agree with you though. While watching the outfits she wore at home I was thinking, how can she be comfortable wearing that gear all day. She does the shaved head thing rather well though. I would have liked to see PeachFuzz!Padmé. It would have made her look more exotic...and cool. I like the PeachFuzz!Portman.

I like Natalie and thought she was excellent in Closer. She made Roberts and Law look talentless. But so did Clive Owen for that matter. It was one of the first times I agreed with the Oscar noms. I thought she was mannered, shallow, self concious and deeply, deeply mediocre.

Didn't she already do that in the last SW movie though? She had all those factory/arena fight scenes. She even got slashed up a bit by some alien thingy.

The shaved head is interesting, but the clothes are seriously ugly, and do nothing for her. And I am still not getting the really long, pointy shoes--they are very unattractive. What's next? 14th century shoes with toes so long they have to be tied with ribbons to the knee? [/fashion rant]
Oh yea, Natalie can't act. But I think we all knew that. She is a pretentious twit who is apparently channeling the fishstick. She was good when she was 13 and had no delusions of grandeur.

I agree. Those long pointy toes look so, well, flashy. I hate it. As for the other type of shoes, don't give them any ideas. ;D
Yet again I find it interesting she goes to school in Israel, but at the same time she doesn't love Israel so much she is willing to train and serve in the Israeli Defence Force.

Word to that. I hate her bullshit regarding her "home" country--join the IDF (like all Israelis are required to do) if you believe in it so much.
Btw, there's no way that she's an Israeli citizen if she's living there and hasn't done/isn't doing her military service (unless she was declared mentally/physically unfit to serve). I know that she was born in Israel, but she probably holds American citizenship only.

Aren't all Jewish folks automatically granted Israeli citizenship upon setting foot in Israel itself? /not sure And for those of you who are all out of Syrup of Ipecac, I offer you these gems from the Globe and Mail's film columnist, Johanna Schneller (from a column this past Saturday): *memorizes notes from 200-Level undergrad courses* Is it really this easy to impress people? I guess it is in H-Wood.

Yeah, I think it is, especially considering how few people in Hollywood actually have an education beyond high school, if that. It's a feat to make it through college in the ordinary world, but it's a lot more remarkable in Hollywood where so many forego a higher education to act. So while the things may not be that impressive to those who have had an education, it is to those who haven't been to college. I know a lot of people hate her here, but I don't. Yeah, she's a little pretentious, but she's also about 22 and fresh out of Harvard. What do you expect. Plus, I actually think she's a good actress and was the only good thing about Closer. Yeah, I'll just sneak out the back...

It's easy when you make millions and are famous worldwide to not just get in, but be able to concentrate and study frequently enough to get through quickly.
The Britney Lindsay Pammy and Jessica are fun personalities and their music is fun to listen and relax to while lightening the mood. As for LIndsay, well, I don't idolize her since she is too self destructive. Pammy, well, no one really watches any of her shows, if she does any. Furthermore, as an American I have plenty of culture, so suck my nonexistant you-know-what. As for beauty, well, she has millions so it's easy enough. She works in a highly competitive industry, but she knows the press will always love her so she'll get plenty of work so not much stress there. She's had an easy ride. I wish the press would realize this and look at her more objectively. She has the right features, but no spark. As for going mute and nearly blind, seriously, grow the hell up you moron of a journalist.
Tell me about it. Really I believe she's trying to cultivate a sort of royal persona, or one she thinks is royal. I think she's going to take her role of Hollywood royalty. Imbicile.
Who knows. To be honest she's been in movies with all A-listers so I wonder what would happen if it were just Natalie and a bunch of unknowns.
