I don't even like Portman, but she does look damn sexy with her head shaved.

I have to wonder if Lucas's direction has something to do with it. It takes a Ewan MacGregor or a Samuel L. Jackson to be able to rise above it. Hayden Christensen was more wooden than Pinnochio in the last installment, but I've seen him hold his own in Shattered Glass.

Wow, she actually looks womanly in some of those shaved head pictures. The shaved head shows off her great bone structures really well, maybe she should consider keeping this look. It certainly is one of the most interesting things she has done in ages.

She's appeared on stage, in The Diary of Anne Frank, for example. Maybe she could concentrate on theater for a couple of years and do the kinds of roles that Hollywood can't or won't offer. It would give her a chance to stretch. And she'd avoid getting Pretentious Starlet-itis. Heh. I can imagine her getting ripped apart by the off-broadway critics, although I'm sure the regular Broadway guys would just loooove Miss. Perfect Portman. It would be fun to see her do an off-broadway play though, just to see her fail.

Add me to those who thinks she looks damned hot with her shaved head. It actually makes her look interesting as opposed to completely generic.
I agree that she was horribly miscast for the SW prequels. It takes alot of effort and/or talent to rise above the crappieness of George Lucas's directing and she wasn't even trying. You know - if she'd had the shaved head for those movies - it might've helped. It would have at least added to the coolness factor.

In one of those pix from the red carpet at Cannes, she's standing next to Hayden, who's smiling down at her - looks like he might like her new look!

Saw Star Wars. It was good, but frankly I wish they would have let her break more then just a thin layer of sweat. Perhaps a hair out of place? Not to mention that the nightgown she wears has pearl strap thingies that dangle near her upper arms. That would drive me nuts. For once couldn't they have shown her a little imperfect?

I like Natalie and thought she was excellent in Closer. She made Roberts and Law look talentless. But so did Clive Owen for that matter. It was one of the first times I agreed with the Oscar noms.
