We were in Potland, OR this past weekend, and couldn't figure out why this story was all over the news. Then we found out that Hubby ran for Congress in 2004 and thank heavens he lost. I believe they said he was from Salem, OR.

I saw Sara's interview on Dancing with the Stars regarding her departure. She is a self-rightous idiot and she can't dance. It was all ok for me when she said she needed to focus on her family and her kids and not dance because of what is going on. Great. But then they bring out her dancing partner and ask her how they got along and she says something like, "You know, he's Albanian, but we got along fine, we're friends." (Not an exact quote) Tony looked at the camera and says, "she keeps reminding me that I'm Albanian."

WTF is that supposed to mean? Really? He's Albanian, ethnic, not American so therefore it is amazing to you that you got along with him? Wow- she allowed him and the sodomites into her life. Amazing. Funny though that her husband likes sodomy. She also smilingly scolded Tom B. liek a child at the end of the interview when he suggested a final dance as a farewell by saying "I don't think it fits with the mood of the interview." (Again not a direct quote). I just can't stand her and I know nothing of her other than these last few weeks.

Actually, I think Sara was right - it was a dumb thing for Tom to suggest after that type of an interview. I didn't think Sara was scolding him either - she just said what most people were probably thinking when he made that suggestion.

She seemed to be in a state of shock, at times very serious and at times smiling. I don't know what I expected but I was a little surprised that she wasn't tearing up.

For the sake of the children I hope the two of them can take things down a notch and get divorced as quietly as possible. It doesn't look like either one of them are going to take that path though - both of them should agree to no more interviews.

The part that really irritated me was when she got on her high horse about being against divorce. So it's OK for her, but an evil sin for everyone else? Shut the hell up.

Well, here's what struck me as funny. Her court documents state

That can be with women or men and apparently like the PP said and ITA, "thou doth protest too much, methinks."

Anyhow. The final dance thing was stupid and I don't know why her comment annoyed me so much other than it was her final comment and her facial expression just put me over the edge. The big things for me were her "I am so against divorce" comments and the Albanian thing. I didn't get married thinking I would get divorced and I don't believe anyone walks down the aisle hoping to get a divorce. It happens and there are many reasons. I am making a horrible argument but basically she sounds like divorced people disgust her but now she is one of them and sounds like she makes hippocritical statements.

I used to work with a woman like that, an annoying holier-than-thou Baptist biddy. When I got divorced, she acted as if I was the Whore of Babylon and didn't want to talk to me or be seen around me (not that I was complaining, mind you). Things changed when her daughter -- who'd apparently gotten married so that she could have sex -- discovered that she didn't want to be married anymore, and suddenly it was OK for the biddy to come talk to me about how to get her precious daughter divorced. Hypocritical bitch.

I agree with you. The Albanian comments were just plain weird. It was as if she were talking about a Martian...very strange. And you would think that someone who travelled as much as she does would be exposed to all kinds of people, so it struck me as a very odd statement.

Still, I'm inclined to give her a pass for now. She has to be extremely upset - I know if I were in her position I probably would be locked in a room crying my eyes out.

I'm a country fan, and I didn't know anything about her except that she is a terrible live singer. Just awful. Now I know way too much, and I don't know how sympathetic Nashville will be. Generally they hate anything Hollywood, and there is nothing more Hollywood than having your dirty laundry on shows like The Insider, ET, etc....

BTW her husband accusing her of having an affair with Kenny Chesney is a little bit funny.
