Ellen doesn't do the over-the-table move every day, but she does dance every day.
I'm tired of the bit where she tries to scare guests with someone sneaking up behind them. It's funnier when she scares people by hiding in the bathroom - especially when she did it to Richard Simmons. That was hilarious.

Thank you! Sorry, I searched, but all that come up was American Idol and I think Stars I Like.
I'm wondering how people don't get tired of that same old dancing. I'm tired of it and I've only watched her show like four times. I am surprised that she is so into The Bachelor.

CPMCoG's search function sucks -- be prepared to do a manual search of the celebrity threads.

HotLips, she got Taylor Swift pretty good too. She feel down she was so scared. *snicker*
I was all worried when I saw this tread at the top of the page. I love Ellen and when someone comes up out of nowhere, it's often no good.
I should DVR her show more.

twopfan, Oh yeah, the Taylor Swift one was good! I'd be surprised if she hasn't made some of those celebrities pee themselves.
I watch Ellen nearly every day. If the guest isn't someone I'm interested in, I'll just have it on in the background while I do something else. I like when she calls viewers at home and gives them prizes.

I like Ellen, but I'm already getting tired of the routine she pulls on AI where she acts like someone is getting bad news and then gives them good news. That's funny every now and then, but she does it EVERY SINGLE TIME she has to tell someone if they're through or not. Geez.

CPMCoG's search function sucks -- be prepared to do a manual search of the celebrity threads. If you click on the topic header "Subject" it'll sort by the celebrity's name, too. You still have to manually search, but it's harder to miss a name.

I absolutely loathe her schtick on AI. It all feels so forced and is uncomfortable to watch.
I hate to say this, because I'm not a hater and I hate the word "hate" but I really hate Ellen. I mean, I used to like her and found her refreshingly funny. But there's been a shift that so often comes with fame and fortune. I sense that she's got that thing that happens to previously insecure people who become insanely successful and famous. I don't even think I can explain it, it's a subtle thing, maybe entitlement -- like what happened to Roseanne (not the best example I know) and other comedians (Howie Mandel?) where they get too full of themselves. I'll admit that the turning point for me was that nonsense over the rescue dog.

That's funny every now and then, but she does it EVERY SINGLE TIME she has to tell someone if they're through or not. Geez. Well, they all did that and always have. Even Paula used to get almost weepy before she pulled the "but you made it!" out of her hat. Ellen had on that girl who didn't make it (and got nearly hysterical) - why can't I remember her name? Angela Martin? The chick who lost her dad, went to jail for traffic tickets, and now her mom is missing. Anyway, Ellen said that Kara is writing her a song, and "We're gonna get you a record contract". How the hell is THAT fair? She didn't even make the top 24, and Ellen and Kara are going out of their way to get her a contract? I'm sure there are lots of hard luck stories in the top 24 who won't make it - is Ellen going to try to help them too?

Mr. d and I were talking about this--we think that Ellen and Kara wanted her to go through, and in the previous two years she WOULD have gone through. So, Ellen and Kara decided to do what they could for her outside the AI bubble. It's extraordinary, for sure, but under the circumstances it's kind of sweet.
