Ellen always looks so miserable whenever she's on camera.

Oh I thought her statement was atrocious. Despite the language of seemingly taking responsibility, it all boiled down to: my staff were terrible people and I am the innocent baby lamb just now finding this out. Come on. What a non-apology: "I'm sorry for delegating to bad people." Seriously, fuck her.

The lesson here is never market yourself as “nice” unless you’re Tom Hanks (Didn’t work out for Rosie, not working out for Ellen). If you’re a regular human being, you’ll have a bad day and be somewhat short with the barista once and it will hit social media. And if you’re a monster, people will talk sooner or later.

I was never a big fan of Ellen's comedy, and I didn't watch her show, but I respected her a lot for breaking barriers for LGBT people in entertainment. Any shred of respect I had for her went out the window with her lame-ass fake apology in which she took the bare minimum amount of responsibility for a hostile workplace environment.

A friend used to work on the show and said, half jokingly, that it's a species issue: she loves animals and hates humans.

I'm surprised that this stuff only came out now. There was a thread on Reddit a few months ago regarding how she treats non-senior staff, some stuff was pretty bad. There was stuff regarding James Corden too, so I'm surprised there's talk about using him to replace Ellen.

People should not be allowed to get away with being bullies in the workplace. I'm glad this is being brought to light. And I hope they don't hire James Corden because I've heard just as many awful stories about him as well!

Ditto on James Corden. If they are looking for someone non-problematic to replace her, he's not it!

Ditto on James Corden. If they are looking for someone non-problematic to replace her, he's not it! I keep seeing references to him being awful. What’s the tea?

There's now a hashtag #IStandWithEllen
Portia thanked their fans on IG. *eyeroll*
There are a lot of stories from people who've encountered James Corden and he's unfriendly, obnoxious, and rude. I remember hearing a story about him not even knowing the names of the camera operators on his show. He works with these people every day, but he doesn't bother to learn their names? Google "James Corden rude" and you'll get a lot of hits. I think he had a bad reputation in the UK before he came over to the States as well.
