I didn't know he was ill either. I aways enjoyed watching him on 60 minutes.

He's from my hometown. Taught at the elementary school where I went to kindergarten. He is also an icon in the African American community, my Nana loved him, my mother wanted him as a boyfriend and we all respected him for his hard work, and dedication to his craft. He always did well, without "selling out". He will be greatly missed.

Awww. I haven't watched 60 Minutes in quite some time - has he still been contributing regularly? Dlisted has a picture of him up - not sure when it was taken, but he's definitely got that sick look in his eyes. I've seen that look many times when people are towards the end. |
