My friend was at a play, and heard this laughter behind him throughout it and thought "That has got to be Tom hanks" and it was. This isn't even interesting, it's just that as soon as he told me, I could hear that laugh in my head immediately. Very distinctive. Also heard he can be a big prick to work with, but that he is very professional and doesn't like people goofing around, which I don't blame him.

I give him a forever pass because of Philadelphia. I thought that was one of the best acting performances EVER. He completely became another person - there was very little trace of Tom Hanks in there. I love Jimmy Stewart - but Jimmy Stewart was pretty much himself in every role. Tom really knocked it out of the park with that part.

I have no problem with his Oscar wins especially when other people have won for truly unworthy performances - can we say Gwyneth Paltrow, Helen Hunt, Jamie Foxx.

I was just watching Forrest Gump last night. Why oh why did I find him attractive in it? I guess that man in uniform thing even works for people with mental deficiencies.

I respect him for rising so high in Hollywood and proving that you don't have to be one of the Beautiful People to make it the industry.
And I think his hair in The Da Vinci Code was great! Much better than his natural curly 'do.
