I thought he was relatively attractive in the '80s, but he definitely hasn't aged well....

I think the problem is that he doesn't carry the extra weight very well, it shows up in his face and makes him look bloated.

It kills me to admit this, but I had a thing for him in You've Got Mail, in spite of the fact that his character was such an ass and Meg was at her most annoying. I think it was because his character was mean and funny which sort of undermined the Ephron-effect. From the new Angels and Demons poster, Tom's blow-out is back with a vengeance[/color] - though looking thankfully less mullet-like. Still, I didn't watch the first one, and this one looks barely less snooze-inducing.

I've gotta say, when I finally saw You've Got Mail, I admired how they didn't do the thing you expected -- having the big, rich corporate guy "give" her back her book shop. I liked how they both realized business is business and may the best business-person win. I liked it that the writing didn't cater to the audience expectation that the "little woman" was going to get rescued in the end by the almighty man. They were equals, both realized it, and I was surprised to see that in a movie. She didn't win (business-wise), but everything was fair play.

I just think his movies are classic and I grew up watching him my whole life.
I'm really curious how he looks in person and if he'll have that blow-out 'do. I'm attending a Q&A session for Big Love this month and he'll be in attendance. I can't wait!

Words cannot express how much I adore Tom Hanks for doing this Carly Rae Jepsen video "I Really Like You"It has him lip syncing and choreographed dancing! I love anything with big dancing groups, flash mob style!!! The only downside of the video, Justin Bieber is in it at the very end, but you barely notice. I didn't even notice until the 3rd time I watched the video.

I recently read Martin Short's Memoirs and he discusses his friendship with Tom Hanks and his wife. Both of them just come off as genuinely kind, caring, and funny individuals.

I love Tom Hanks so much, if it every came out that he was a douchebag I would have to give up the internet.
