Ok, the story goes like this:
It's the grand finale of the play which ends with a song and on a long note. But he really has to pee, badly. So he has 3 options.
1. Run off stage and pee with lightning speed, but still hold up the play.
2. Hold it in, but give a very weak performance for the finale.
3. Or let it go and siiiiing. And hopefully the stain won't be too bad.

Well, we all know which one he chose. Luckily his pants didn't show the stain immediately, so the audience didn't have a clue. The costumer however did when Hugh came off stage.

LOL That IS a good story He's lucky he didn't make a puddle or people might have noticed. I'm guessing the costumer wasn't too happy with him.

I read an interview today (from CNN) that said he wants to keep an even balance between film and theater.

I love it when actors of caliber embrace the theatre. Hugh was magnificent in The Boy From Oz and at the Tonys (which I'm going to see live for the first time next week...excited!). Actors such as Julia Roberts who get mediocre notices for their roles onstage should stick to film where they can have 100 takes for a single scene. Theatre is tougher, you have to get every scene right the first time, every time, eight times a week. It takes enormous talent and impeccable timing to pull that off and that's one of the things that impresses me about Hugh. That, and his pretty pretty self.

Another great HJ story is from the new issue of Men's Health magazine cover story. While he was filming The Fountain, he had to film scenes underwater in the lotus position with stunt wires so simulate suspended animation. When he had to do reshoots, according to director Darren Aronovsky, he did them without complaining. An actor who sometimes does his own stunts without bragging about it? Imagine that, Clambo.

HJ also talked about his recent visit to Cannes promoting X3 on the Ellen show and the hotel room he stayed in was the "Sean Connery Suite." One night, when Hugh was in his tux, he looked in the mirror and said, "Bond-James Bond." How cute is that!

I read something, I think on CNN, where he was talking about his suite, and how the last time he and Deborah were at Cannes they were sleeping in a hostel or a car or something like that, and now they're in the James Bond suite. Supposedly, she had a movie at Cannes as well and he was little Mr. PR for her. How cute!
