I watched the Scoop trailer without the sound on. Because sound is not really needed to enjoy the scene of SHIRTLESS! HUGH! in the pool.

Okay, I actually bought an issue of "O" for this man. It was a good interview though. This is one of my favorite quotes from Hugh:

I don't want to be "Hugh Jackman, the famous actor." Backstage at the Oscars, I once heard someone say, "George Clooney's so great, because he knows the names of the crew." I was like, "Shouldn't he? He spent five months with these 30 people." If you worked in an office for five months and didn't know people's names, everyone would think you were nuts.

You can also tell that he's crazy about his wife and he said that they specifically set out to adopt multi-racial children because they knew that they were getting turned away since most people want white babies. He said that they had heard people can wait for like 18 months for a white baby, yet when they went to their lawyer and said they wanted a multi-racial baby, the lawyer was like, "Great. I can have one for you next week."

Yes, he is 20 kinds of awesome.

He seems to genuinly adore his family. When he was on Ellen he was telling the story of how he and his wife recently went through the official adoption proceeding with his daughter. He talked about how when they were at the court house getting everything finalized both his wife and he were just standing there with tears streaming down their faces because they were so happy. He's so sweet.

Kostgard, can you tell us anything more from the interview? I love this guy!

Kostgard, can you tell us anything more from the interview? I love this guy!

I'm at work now and I don't have it with me, but just pulling from memory he mostly talking about his career - how he got his degree in journalism because he wasn't sure that he was going to act for a living and actually wasn't positive he was meant to be an actor for the rest of his life until he did Boy from Oz. And some of his early career stuff like how he was offered a role of a soap opera just a few months after enrolling in drama school, but turned it down because he felt he would better serve his career by going to school instead of trying for insta-fame on a soap.

He also talked about his involvement with the School of Philisophy AKA the School of Economic Science - which is actually a bit controversial and kinda has the whiff of "cult" about it, but I personally don't know much about it, and at least Hugh isn't jumping on couches and his wife isn't a drooling zombie. I can't really make a call on that one until I learn more about it.

Him and Deb are one of those couples that just radiate mutual love and respect for each other. They're probably my favorite celeb couple. I remember in an interview on Australian TV she talked about how he writes her letters and he designed her engagement ring. Here's the transcript. She has same interesting stuff to say about Oscar and the adoption as well.
