I've only ever heard good about all of them.
Dave Grohl sometimes annoys me because he's got a cloyingly "cute" gum-smacking persona, but he always comes across as a good person. Hard worker. And he dealt with Kurt Cobain and his massive depression for years, and he's done nothing but shown respect for him. And not allowed himself to get into wars of words with Courtney when she trash talks him.

Weird Al is on that list for me too. If he's ever done anything bad I DO NOT want to know about it.

I have a "Dave Is An Awesome Guy!" story.
In 1999, when Dave had the Foos back in NoVA to record the "There Is Nothing Left To Lose" album, my brother was a new resident of Alexandria. We were in line at the grocery store, and the clerk asked if we had the store's discount card, to which my brother replied that, no, he didn't have one yet. All of a sudden this kinda loud voice from behind said, "Mom, can I see your keys for a sec?", and Dave hands over his mother's key ring for the clerk to scan her card. My brother thanked Dave and Mama Grohl and they both said no thanks were necessary. I see where Dave gets it from because his mother was an absolute sweetheart, spending a few minutes recommending a good dry cleaners store and some local restaurants...you know, being all adorably motherly to this young man who was new to the area. We kept our cool, but once my brother and I got to the parking lot we were like, "Holy crap! Did that actually just happen?!" Lol.
Since then, my brother has seen him a few times in a particular pub in Old Town Alexandria when Dave comes back home to visit. Bro says he is always very low-key, but very friendly and never acts as if it is a bother when people approach him.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone, celeb and non-celeb, have a bad word to say about him. I don't usually believe in the concept of celebs as role models, but Dave is someone who I'm glad my teenage sons look up to and, in fact, I encourage it.

Speaking of, please no one tell me anything bad about Bryan Cranston while we're at it. And just to get back on the main topic, awesome story taintedstar!! And I loved the bit at the end of the muppet video posted a page back where both Dave and Animal sadly admit to one another "You won". LOL!
