1. Mr. Rogers 2. Julie Andrews 3. Michael Palin I've heard some unsavory things about Julie Andrews. I know the children in the cast of the Sound of Music said she was standoffish when not filming and not very warm at all. I knew someone that knew her daughter and she said the same thing that she was a very cold individual. I don't know if these rumors are true. I heard her being interviewed with her daughter about a children's book they just wrote and they seemed very close and kind towards one and another.

Considering that I am not a fan of "The Sound of Music" I can live with Julie Andrews being a cold fish (Christopher Plummer apparently isn't a huge fan of the movie either, which endears him to me.) I love Michael Palin's travel specials, he is genuinely so funny, friendly, and pleased to be where ever he is. I also love that he calms himself the "mean" Python. Dave Grohl still has a HUGE presence in this area. He owns the Black Cat club on 14th Street, which runs Doctor Who/Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Star Trek Happy Hours, along with amazing concerts.

The Foos chose to stay in Austin between their two weekend gigs at ACL Festival this year--they cut their new EP during that week, and named it after the hotel they stayed at. Many, many people ran into Dave and the rest of the gang, and have had nothing but happy experiences to report. And believe me, I've heard plenty of stories over the years about celebrities who treated everyone around them like trash.

Thank God! I had my fingers crossed hoping he'd done something awesome to get bumped. But dude, his voice is shot. When you can't even get your croak up to reach the high notes of "We Will Rock You" you might want to make some changes to your life.

I think that's just what his singing voice is like.

I got to see him and his mom about a month or so ago promoting her new book where she interviews other rock moms on raising musical kids. It was hilarious, and funny.
I tried to get tickets to their most recent tour, but it sold out before I could...boo! I say boo!

I tried to get tickets to their most recent tour, but it sold out before I could...boo! I say boo! I'm reading the book now, and it's pretty good. She interviewed the moms of a pretty wide range of musicians including Dr. Dre's mom and Josh Groban's mom. I think my favorite one so far though is Geddy Lee's mom. From that chapter I learned that his name at birth was Gary, but in his mom's Polish-accented English it came out Geddy. But the thing that I love most about it is that every time she mentions Dave (which is quite a bit) she calls him David.

Just rocking out in comfort of my own armchair to Foo Fighters Glastonbury set! Cheers BBC 🍻 🍻 I’ve been rewatching bits of this tonight, fantastic gig. Taylor Hawkins just a real ball of brilliant drumming energy. Wrapping Dave and the Foos, Taylor’s Family up in big virtual love hug. The rabbit hole I fell down also led me to Rick Astley and The Foo Fighters!! Never gonna give you up!The Foos Rick Rolled Westboro church crowd at one point. It’s probably redundant to say I’ve had wine...
