I thought about posting all of the ice bucket challenge videos that are out there, but I think I'm too lazy for that. This is probably the funniest one so far though, so I had to post it, ALS - Ice Bucket Challenge. |

I love Dave Grohl (unlike the former VA Governor, it's AWESOME he went to my high school!), so that was great to see.

The fact that he included John Travolta and Stephen King in his challenges just makes it that much better. Although I can't imagine Johnny T being willing to have ice water dumped on his freshly drawn on hair.

I love Dave Grohl so, so much. Not to get all TMI (but I will), I listened to Foo Fighters while in labor with my second child.

Can someone succinctly explain what the ice bucket challenge is all about? I don't want to watch a video where some celebrity goes on and on.

Can someone succinctly explain what the ice bucket challenge is all about? I don't want to watch a video where some celebrity goes on and on. Originally it was set up in a way where people would either have to donate to the ALS foundation or be dumped with a big ol' bucket of ice water. Now with celebs, they're doing it twofold. They're making the donation (in whatever amount they want) and doing the ice water. It's a way to raise awareness and to encourage more to participate in making donations and being silly in the process. Dave & his wife welcomed their third child, a baby girl on August 1st (just announced it now). They named her, Ophelia Saint Grohl. Hmm... |
