Oh I hope not. But one of the unofficial mottoes of this board is "the place where crushes go to die."
If I hear something terrible about Dave, I will be out on the first train to the Land of Denial, where I will be content to live a blissfully ignorant life. And never open the Dave Grohl thread on CPMCoG.

The Foo Fighters played a benefit concert for a group called "Alive and Well" which denies the link between HIV and AIDS and the founder of that group gave a speech during the concert. (The founder of this group eventually died of AIDS-related pneumonia, which up until her death she insisted bore no relation to her HIV infection.  ) I think that Dave and the band were supporting the beliefs of one of their dumber members who was really into the cause - either Nate or Taylor (who is now a big anti-vaccine activist). I don't know whether Dave ever really believed in the cause himself but he was willing to put his band behind it and I don't think he's ever come out and said he disagrees. Dave would be the first to admit that he's not the world's smartest guy and I can see him being convinced of this shit by an equally dim but zealous bandmate. |
