He's talking about a second season of Sonic Highways, maybe in the UK?

He really, really seems like a great guy. Anderson Cooper had an interview with him on Sixty Minutes a couple months ago and he just comes off supremely likeable. My favorite quote from it was when he told AC "all I do is chauffeur kids in a mini-van and play music. I have no other hobbies." He said it in such a good-humored way that it was impossible not to be happy for him.

Love him. So here are my two Dave Grohl stories; 1. When I was in high school the big deal was "OMG the drummer for Nirvana went to high school here!" He got kicked out of my high school (D'oh!) but according some of the teachers we shared (Algebra) he was a nice, memorable kid, he just went through a rough time and made a dumb mistake (pot) that got him into trouble. 2. My friend LOVES him, like LOVES him. And for years he and his wife lived in Northern Virginia full time (and he's here a lot, look DC CAN produce cool funny people! We don't all have sticks up our asses). So her work friend ran into him at Safeway in Alexandria, and got an autograph for my friend. She has it laminated and carries a copy of it at all times. According to the friend, he was flattered to be approached, and was hands down the nicest guy about it. The autograph is hilarious (he told my friend to stop stalking him "just kidding"). In my opinion the guy is enormously talented and very funny. Add to that he seems to get that he was lucky to get discovered, and to do what he loves for a living, so he appreciates that people are fans and gives back. I mean he (sadly) no longer lives in the area, but again he's here all the time, and really does have a stake in the community. These are the greatest!

He's talking about a second season of Sonic Highways, maybe in the UK? Oh, yes, please! I fell asleep the other night to a marathon of the Sonic Highways series. Very enlightening and educational, but also very revealing of what a really cool guy he is. Love him!

I only have a second-hand story about him. Someone I know used to be in a band that was a hit in Europe but not in the States. I found out Dave Grohl produced their album (the band broke up before a second album). Being the celebrity junkie I am, I pleaded for her to give me some good gossip. She just said that Dave was the nicest guy in the world and that he is incredibly funny and was great to work with.
One of the things that stuck with me out of the new Kurt Cobain documentary ("Montage of Heck") about all three members of Nirvana was how young and absolutely unprepared they were for the level of fame that they achieved. Dave looked like a baby in the old interviews. It's quiet a feat that he emerged from that so normal and grounded and went on to have the career he's had.

That is sweet. The doctor is clearly having the time of his life, and the crowd totally backed him up!

I grew up in Northern Virginia too kateln and know people who went to school with Dave Grohl at both Annandale and Bishop Ireton and no one has a bad word to say about him. Wonderful person. I saw him in some pictures from the 20 year Annandale High School reunion a few years back and he just blended right in with everyone at the party.

Besides Courtney Love, is there anyone who dislikes Dave Grohl?
He is a celeb who I am genuinely happy for, for having riches and success. He does good things with his money, doesn't treat people as if they are beneath him, and is just a genuinely good guy. I heart you, Dave Grohl! Keep being you.

Oh great, with all this love flowing, you just know that now we're going to find out that he's a pedophile, dog-fighting, slumlord, that runs a white slavery ring out of the basement of his meth lab.
