So, it's extremely alcoholic lemonade. Sounds delish. Call me Clooney, I'll drink it with ya.

I love limoncello. I would drink it with Clooney, I suppose, but definitely not DeVito. Props to them for their drink choice, but I still think it was in bad taste for Danny to show up on TV like that, even if it was just The View. I can't help but speculate that if it had been a woman appearing on TV in the same condition, especially on a morning show, she would have gotten much more flak for it. His appearance seems to have mostly been laughed off.

I think it depends on the woman. If it was a wacky comedic woman like Phyllis Diller or that red head who played George's mom on Seinfeld I could see her getting away with it. If it was Britney or LiLo or Jessica Simpson, I could see them getting flack because they've already been accused of unprofessionalism and this would just be more evidence of that.
I'm not much of a drinker (though that Limoncello DOES look tasty!) and I have a very low tolerance for drunken antics of any kind. But with Danny, I get the impression he would have said the same things and acted the same way stone sober (Just without the bile yarp in the middle), so it doesn't seem so shocking.

There's a difference between being drunk enough to be silly or a little more uninhibited than usual and being fall down, beligerantly drunk. I'm pretty sure lots of people have a few before going on these talk shows just so they can get through it.
Was it unprofessional? I guess. He showed up, promoted his new movie, and was generally funny so he did do his 'job'. I just don't get the impression that he did anything that he wouldn't have done when sober. Unlike some other celebs who get bombed and either go about flashing their crotches or delivering hate-filled spiels.

Really? I'm skeptical of that.

Limoncello is kind of a girly drink. Yes, I'm stereotyping but, really, limoncello? That's very fae.

Is everything OK in here? Seems like a lot of energy is being spent on challenging each other's definition of acceptable drunkenness... I don't want this to happen but wouldn't it be just hilarious if the mods had to shut down the Danny DeFreakinVito thread?!!?

According to Wiki, he's a clam. This was the only reference I found with a quick search:It may be he's kept it quiet all these years, it may be totally false, or it may be that he took a course one time and as a result the clams count him.
