I love high heels I do, can't walk in them, just car to bar, but I love them, so sort of have a soft spot for Julia clomping about in them, that and Pretty Woman, I will always love love the big mistake big scene😁

I've despised her since the minute I set eyes on her. She's been in some decent movies (Sleeping with the Enemy, Mystic Pizza, Steel Magnolias-couldn't wait till f'ing Shelby died) but in spite of her, not because of her. I don't think she's attractive in any way and I think she's an awful person. I also particularly hated her episode(s) of Law and Order and despise Benjamin Bratt just because of his association with her. Has she ever killed one of my pets or run over my child? No. Maybe in a previous life? Yeah, I have no idea why I hate her so much either.... I could not have said it better. I have this visceral reaction just to seeing her face. I can't stand her.

It's the 90s overlaugh. Her and Tom Cruise. Life isn't THAT amazing, people. We know you're faking. (Cynical response, I know...)

90’s teen me loves Mystic Pizza. Other than that, I haven’t really been compelled by anything else, although that’s more of the project-selection than her, really. She also reminds me of the worst of Law and Order when she was dating Benjamin Bratt. I do appreciate that she tends to disappear until she’s promoting something, but I think about how sour and mean she seems as a human, and that leaves a bad taste.
I always seem to catch her episode of Law & Order in reruns, and I never realize it until she shows up and then I'm like NOOOOO IT'S THIS EPISODE. I actually don't mind watching Julia Roberts in movies, but that was a terrible episode because she absolutely could not disappear into the part at all, unlike a lot of celebrities who've appeared on Law & Order.
As time goes on I have developed more respect for My Best Friend's Wedding. It seems like one of the few romantic comedies that acknowledges that doing the "typical romantic comedy" stalker behavior actually makes you a giant selfish asshole.

I loved her early 90's roles before she became a STAR! Steel Magnolias is one of my all time favorite films (and perpetually quoted), and I have a permanent soft spot for Pretty Woman, Mystic Pizza, and Sleeping with the Enemy. I don't know anything about her as a person, but from interviews she seems cold/icy, and like she's positive she's the smartest one in the room.

Ugh, remember when she was in a meeting with McCoy and Abbie Carmichael and she was all "oh, aren't we clever" or something like that? All narrowed eyes and lots of smug. So so bad and cringeworthy.

I have a permanent soft spot for Pretty WomanI do too. Even though I am aware of the problematic implications of the subject matter as an adult (the movie came out when I was a teen), I still love the movie, and I will stop and watch it whenever it comes on TV. (I think I had read somewhere that Demi Moore was originally considered for the part. I can't picture this movies with Demi.)

Well, I like J.Ro. There, I said it. Yeah, yeah, the A Low Vera thing, but she's not the first woman to "steal" a husband. I know the tee was terrible, but that was 20ish years ago and they're still together, so there's that. I guess she and Danny were meant to be.
The interviews I've seen her in (Live with Kelly, etalk) she's always funny and pleasant, so I don't get the angry vibe from her. She disappears when she doesn't have a project to promote, and I like that she appeared in fluff like Valentines Day as a favour to Garry Marshall, who gave her the Pretty Woman big break. We rarely see pics of her kids, and she clearly doesn't use them to self-promote her image.
::shrug:: I like most of her movies and she is a draw to see one, not a hindrance.

I like her too. The only time I hated her was after she had her twins and wrote a letter to Oprah, which Oprah read aloud on her show with this breathless air. I tried to find it in YouTube but I couldn’t. It was just so over the top. Actually I think I disliked Oprah more than Julia over that one.

The one about her babies smelling of promise and hope first thing in the morning? (Which was interpreted as "I have a nanny who changes their diapers before I even set eyes on them".)
