I had read sleeping with the enemy before it came out and was prepared to hate it. I enjoyed it.
I watched the first half hour of eat, pray, love on an international flight and feel asleep. I'm thankful because I usually spend those flights awake and anxious.
I hated pretty woman because of the premise.

Apparently, Brad and George were asked, though. Maybe not the trauma, but I’m not sure.

Man, but did she look awful in that wig they put her in for Tinkerbell. It's nothing compared to her wig in Mother's Day. That was the stuff of nightmares.

I thought she cut her hair and had her real hair for that role (Tinkerbell). Something about getting away from "the hair" to be taken more seriously or something. Or maybe a representative fresh start after Kiefer? It was a long time ago.

I liked Sleeping With the Enemy a lot. Julia was really convincing in that. My favourite JR film is Mirror, Mirror. She plays the Wicked Stepmother (who's hilariously sarcastic) and she loses in the end. Ooh yeah, Sleeping with the Enemy was a good one. I liked her in that. No annoying affectation and it was a proper creepy thriller. The husband was terrifying.

I always loved Dying Young because of Campbell Scott and Colleen Dewhurst. And the shmaltzy soundtrack as they run along the ocean cliffs. And if Pretty Woman is on TV, I usually watch it.
However, I cannot think of a Julia Roberts movie after 1991 that I like. Literally none at all, although I haven't watched most of them.

This reminds me, I watched 24: Live Another Day and I thought it was kind of funny to see Julia's two ex-fiancees (Kiefer and Benjamin Bratt) in the mix. Couldn't help wondering if any war stories were exchanged!

I can't separate my dislike of JR as a person from the characters she plays. Real life bitch has almost ruined Pretty Woman, Steel Magnolias and My Best Friend's Wedding for me. Shallow of me but I cannot forgive trying to steal Denzel's moment by squeeing "I love MY life".

I think her character in Erin Brokovich is probably really close to her actual personality. Generally unpleasant, DO NOT cross her, but when she likes you, or you make her look good, she will go to the end of the earth for you. Anyone hear about the bizarre and harsh eulogy she did at her sister's funeral? Yeah, she's not a pleasant person or a forgiving one. I forgot she did that movie with Mel Gibson. Oh, and didn't she hate Nick Nolte? A lot of her movies don't hold up very well.
