Has anyone seen the TV ads for "Extraordinary Machine?" The ones they're airing where I live are a little creepy-- it's like they found her weirdest/dumbest fans and asked them to give weird quotes. People saying stuff like "She speaking to me through her music! Singing about me through her music! She's in my mind!" and "Her lyrics are so powerful I feel like I can relate to her because it's like she's me!" I sort of winced when I saw it...

The DVD extras are nice.

i would have preferred to have the Brion version on the otherside...as opposed to the enhanced audio --- which does nothing on my unenhanced speakers.

I still prefer the Brion version over the official release. The life was sucked out of "Not About Love" "Red x 3". Not really feeling the zippier "O' Sailor". The Brion version was better sequenced.

Oh well. Still bought it. Happy it's out and she's back among the living.

She really does look amazing. I stumbled across those pics last night and I couldn't believe it was her. I never found her attractive before but now? Wow. Food - it's a good thing.

Count me in as one of those who think Brion version is far better than the official album. I always liked Fiona and PTA as a couple and only found out that they broke up when I heard that Maya Rudolph was pregnant with his child.

Weird, seeing as I haven't given her that much thought lately, but I dreamed about her last night. She was obsessed with my family and publishing personal (not too personal) info. I got into it with her and I woke myself up yelling, "I DON'T CARE!"

Poor Fiona. She just needed some professional help. I should have been nicer.

Fiona Apple's New 23-Word Title Album

Fiona Apple is back, and her upcoming album is an absurd 23 words long.

The randomly capitalized The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do will be Apple's first album since 2005's Extraordinary Machine...

The Chairman and CEO of Epic Records and "X Factor" judge L.A. Reid teased the return of Apple earlier this year with the tweets "Lots of good music coming from Epic Records in the next few weeks. Stay tuned music fans. Welcome back Fiona!" and "YES Fiona Apple!"

While a fresh Fiona album is exciting for fans, the tracks are old news to the singer/songwriter:

"I can't remember [how to play] any of my new songs because they've been done for a f***ing year," she said when a fan requested new material at a concert last year.

Even though the tracks may be old news to Apple, she's wasting no time sharing the new songs with her fans. Apple is scheduled to perform at SXSW on March 15 and is revving up for her first tour since 2007 which kicks off on March 19 in Chicago. She'll also be playing at the Governors Ball Music Festival on June 24.
