I saw the film "Charlie Countryman" recently. I just couldn't get into it. Who with any brain cells and a functioning sexuality would leave Mads Mikkelsen for Shia Lebeouf? I wanted to punch Charlie in the face and run off with Nigel.

The only scenes worth watching were Mads Mikkelsen's scenes. He's smokin' hot and steals the movie.

As much as I hate to say it, he was pretty good in Fury. Not Oscar-worthy by any means but good.
He had one line that cracked me up. They're in this town in Germany and one of his crewmates is climbing into the tank to get it on with a German woman. Shia's character is very religious and apparently not down with premarital sex, because he says to his buddy in a totally serious way, "I hope you get scabies." I loved that line.

Says he was raped during his performance art piece. ETA: If he feels violated then he was violated, but I have a terrible feeling this is more "art" to generate a conversation about masculinity and rape and art and OMG this is gonna be a train wreck of a public discourse.

Honestly, this makes me angry. His whole "performance art" bullshit was pathetic and famewhorish to start with, and now he's throwing sexual assault into the mix as part of his "art" and the whole mess was tasteless and shows him as the desperate, psychologically disturbed person that he is.
What the girl did was gross, but Shia's gross too. After watching him laugh it up over how HILARIOUS it was when he was arrested for a drunken disorderly at Cabaret, I'm just done with him and his issues. Get some therapy and go be "NOT FAMOUS" for real.

I am not sure I believe him. I don't know why, but my, "Liar, liar pants on fire," detector is going off. I know men get raped, so it's not that. Initial gut reaction, it just reminds me of the Duke Lacrosse case. Maybe I'm wrong, if so, I am sorry.
Tip of the day - if you give strangers (or anyone) permission to do whatever they want to you, bad shit might happen.

The whole story doesn't ring true. Maybe he was violated. The woman apparently crossed a line, but he gave strangers permission to do anything to him. And why are we only hearing about it now. Paraphrasing, but "other people in line saw the woman looking disheveled afterwards", and "word spread down the line of people waiting to get in"? Really? And no one has come forward that they witnessed Shia being assaulted? The woman's boyfriend didn't say anything or try to stop her? Was the room see-thru and everyone saw what she was doing to him, including Shia's girlfriend and didn't say or do anything? It's a little too boy who cried wolf for me. It's unfortunate that his mental issues put him in that position to be taken advantage of, but I don't know how grieved he was by the experience. I don't know his pain, but to talk about it now, and in such an off-hand manner, seems so random. Has he discussed pursuing legal action? There was apparently plenty of witnesses. I just don't get it.

Why didn't he, I don't know, ask her to stop? Or leave? I'm not trying to be victim-blamey, I think it's a totally appropriate question for this situation. Honestly from the way he tells it, it sounds like he's calling it rape because his girlfriend was mad about it after the fact. Also, I have an irrational hatred of his girlfriend after watching Nymphomaniac - aside from her being a terrible character, her face just BUGS.
