Ouch. Only 20? Hopefully she takes rehab seriously and can cut this off before she does lasting damage to her body & her career/life.

Man, apparently she also has body dysmorphia and probably other eating disorder-type issues. Damn, kiddo. It sounds like she inherited a lot of her mom's mental-health issues. Hopefully she gets the help that she needs. Source |

Feel bad for this girl, I hope all turns out well for her. It has been a rough couple of years for her. Demi and a man that she had in her life from the time she was young, Ashton, disappeared out of it and her dad remarried and started having children with his new wife. That has to be tough.

Agreed. And she's barely out of her teens... Without much supervision things can go downhill for any kid, celeb parents or not. Her esteem issues probably didn't help; you can get popular quick buying alcohol and drugs for your "friends." I wish her well.

So much for raising those kids in Idaho away from all the Hollywood craziness, huh? Then Demi brought them back to Hollywood! I guess Tallulah's been reading what the gossip on the internet was saying about her as she was growing up. It's amazing that Rumer hasn't fallen down that same rabbit hole yet (considering what's been said about her face). Didn't the Willis kids live with Demi and not Bruce? |

Yeah, I could never understand bringing those girls back to LA as teenagers - THE time when you'd want to get them out. I guess the good thing is that they are not part of the Kardashian/Smith/Beiber crowd (please don't anyone find pics that prove otherwise!).
Something is not quite right with Scout either to be walking around topless. I know she claimed it was to be political for a cause, but I'd bet there's a body image situation going on there too. Tallulah is actually the cutest facial-wise, and I know that's just the kind of sentence that could send anyone over the edge.
Speaking of faces, how is Demi looking these days? The last we saw her she had done something and was looking pretty frozen/puffy. That would probably really freak out a kid if even the beautiful mom can't age gracefully and has to fuss with herself.

So much for raising those kids in Idaho away from all the Hollywood craziness, huh? I call shenanigans that they were actually raised in Idaho. She is from that pre-internet 80's era when stars said ludicrous or bizarre stuff about themselves to the press that made them seem super duper cool aka Tom Cruise, but the public don't buy what you're selling anymore. I remember years ago when she was into her fitness phase reading an article where she claimed to have gone on a 20 mile bike ride the day before she went into labor or something like that. Yeah right. Demi produced or starred in a number of projects while they were little that no doubt kept her in LA as did their dad. They probably spent time in Idaho but raised their exclusively with good old fashion small town values until Hollywood done corrupted them? Doubtful. Other starlets began to shine and hers dimmed a bit so she didn't get as much mainstream attention until Charlie's Angels came out and she hooked up with Ashton. |

Well, she did actually own a home in Hailey, Idaho, where they all lived for nine or so years. After GI Jane, she moved the kids there. Shortly after, she did a Woody Allen movie and a small arthouse flick that bombed, but then stopped making movies until Charlie's Angels. After that, she took more time off. I remember reading that Bruce Willis also had a house in the town so he could visit the kids easily.
Now, did they never visit LA and was Hollywood never in their home? Doubtful. I'm sure it was always a little bit there. But Demi did take a big career break to raise her kids in Idaho. Sort of like how Minnie Driver left Hollywood to live in a trailer on the beach with her baby and that time Daniel Day Lewis became a shoe apprentice in Italy.
ETA: There also seems to be this narrative that Hollywood corrupted them. But honestly? It's probably just genetics and learned behavior from their mom -- who had issues before she was famous -- that make them vulnerable to poor coping mechanisms. When you throw in being rich and Hollywood fuckery, that certainly adds to the mess, but those are really just obstacles to recovery, not the source of the problem. If someone is prone to addiction and body issues they're going to have them whether they're in Small Town, USA or Hedonism Central.

Yeah...my memory is that Demi moved to Idaho "for the kids" when her career bombed and she moved them back to L.A. when Charlie's Angels gave her a career resurgence. And when she came back she was in a new stage of her career--the "she's 40 and look how hot she is" rather than coasting off the steam of her St. Elmo's fire days. The kids were just a cover.
The Scout topless thing bugs me. Yeah, I kind of get her point, but come on. In the face of Israel/Palestine, ISIS/Syria/Iraq, Russia and Ukraine, lack of clean water in the third world, sex slavery right here in the U.S., and on and on—the whole nipple thing seems to be a ridiculous thing to take a stand on. A line has to be drawn somewhere to keep Instagram from becoming straight porn and, yeah, some stuff gets lost in the gray areas. And it seems to be a waste of Scout's obvious intelligence. But, then again, it does seem like a cause consistent with someone raised in a vapid, image driven environment and a lack of exposure to "real world" issues.

I don't doubt that their mom's issues may play a role in Tallulah's current situation. Demi is an addict and has had a lot of plastic surgery over the years. But look at Bruce post-divorce. He's not dating neuroscientists but hot models and actresses significantly younger than him. They might be lovely women, but his daughters are getting unspoken messages about a woman's value and worth. I don't know if he's had any drug or alcohol issues in the past.
Just want to counter some of the blame that I've seen on the interwebs focused on Demi (and moms).
