That Jezebel piece is hysterical. I snorted while reading it.

GoldenFleecewroteI will keep that in mind. "People" mag should be renamed "Publicist" mag. That's the problem in a nutshell. There aren't really any slam dunk choices for titles like this these days but if it wasn't orchestrated with publicist cooperation, they'd get a lot closer to naming someone who wasn't WTF?-inducing. It really highlights how out of touch traditional media can be. The interwebs decide such things and it doesn't matter if the person in question approves or not. I'm totally "meh" on Adam Levine and I don't think he's stood out in any way this year.

I wasn't really all that interested in following this story but the comments at Jezebel are making it totally worth it.

I'll be brave enough to be the lone dissenter! I think he's hot. I'm not sure why because he's not my traditional "type", but I find him very ... pretty (and that body doesn't hurt). And likable on The Voice. I was never much of a follower of his music, and I did think he was probably a big giant douche. But when he joined the show I changed my opinion. Shrug.
What else is PEOPLE supposed to be besides publicity? I think Channing Tatum is a butterface, and he was a sexy man too. And whenever Jennifer Aniston has a movie to promote out come her boobs and the proclamations about her being sexy and gorgeous. It's not the Washington Post ... these magazines are all about celebrities and publicity.

The best part of the Jezebel comments is all the images of alternative sexy men the posters have added. So many men, so little opportunity to meet them all!

Jezebel also listed Alan Alda. LOL! I've got a little bit of a thing for Alan Alda so I was pleased to see that.

The Sexiest Man Alive title is very old hat now and there's a peanut gallery of millions to weigh in with their dissent. If there had been an internet when it was JFK, Jr. for example, it would've been, his hair is too puffy, that himbo, he's no Jack Kennedy, either, etc. There's no famous guy they could name now who wouldn't get an "ugh, him" reaction from one corner of the internet or another.
