I actually think Facebook tracks you by location. When you are in the same location or using the same network it suggests people around to you. My last job was as a practice manager for medical clinics. There was no identifying info linking me to my job or anyone at work on my Facebook. I used to get friend request for patients. We had 4 clinics and I would get requests for the patients at whichever clinic I was at that day. I deleted Facebook earlier this year, just too creepy.

You don't have to be logged in for Facebook to track you. They have a tracker embedded in quite a few websites, a tracker you don't really notice when you visit said website. With the EU clamping down on privacy concerns, this was one the few things the public wasn't even aware of. So yeah, Google and Facebook probably know you a whole lot better than anyone else.

Yeah it's REALLY weird, Facebook is. I remember having a conversation about an relatively obscure kitchen product over TEXT with a friend. Within an hour, the next time I opened my news feed, I had a dozen ads about said product. I honestly chuckle when I hear people complain about facial recognition, cameras in public, etc. They already KNOW everything. Trust me, we are all being tracked. Because, $$$$$. Yeah, okay. But I was thinking (not even thinking aloud) that I needed to purchase dark red hand towels, and then they showed up in my feed as an Amazon ad. Not just hand towels; dark red ones. WTF, man??

I have browsed on sites for things and they immediately show up in the ProBoards ads here!

Is it okay to link to Reddit? Best of Legal Advice - scientology in the workplace.Scroll 3/4s of the way down to see the OP's original post. The OP had to spend 1 week every month at these "communication lectures" in Clearwater. Her boss would spend 2 hours a day educating her on scientology, they had to do "staring contests" for 15-20 min at a time. The OP finally quit when:
