Changing the subject, I read her People magazine interview yesterday and sometimes I forget she was with Robert Downey, Jr. for such a long time. I really felt for her when she said she finally got the courage to leave him (when he was deep in his drug addiction) and her basic thought was "I have to do this for me, and I really hope you don't die."
Re: the SATC movies. Never saw the second and watched the first on On Demand and thought I was going to die of boredom at how long and tedious it was.

Kim responded nicely to Cynthia's message on Instagram, so who knows? She didn't act like she was mad at her or Kristin. Probably because Cynthia and Kristin were never executive producers of SATC. They might have had issues with each other, but those two never had that much power over Kim.

Perhaps, but also Kim made mention that it was nice to hear Cynthia's voice. (I took this as meaning Cynthia called- not just posted some throw away "support" on Twitter). That can go a long way in showing real support. I'm guessing SJP did not do this. The only real point being- if you aren't friends don't pretend to be at a time like this. When promoting a movie, sure, when doing business together, sure... but when someone is going through trauma (a brother missing- then found dead- that's a pretty big trauma- not just some petty girls fight) you either be a real kind person and show support via real contact, or you shut your mouth. If the argument is that SJP calling Kim would have been just as bad- well , then she should have said nothing. And... if she was concerned about how it would look to not say anything publicly- well, that's the problem. It's not about how SJP looks publicly- or- in SJP's case that's maybe all that matters- and that is crass. Cynthia showed class and kindness, SJP did not.

SPJ's schtick is that, schtick. She's a shrewd business woman (and there's nothing wrong with that) but she tries to hide it behind this "who me, aw shucks" gal persona and at her age it's ridiculous. A shrews businesswoman doesn't pull a "mean girl" act for fun. I agree that this is the strongest image I have of SJP. I'm certain she's not the "aw shucks" persona, either, but given her body of work outside of SatC and the distinct lack of stories about her...I'm inclined to believe that Kim Cattrall is probably more of the problem. Now I think she was probably also treated in such a way that didn't encourage peacemaking, but... I've long been impressed that on SatC, there was never any sign of their dislike for each other. The SatC movies were always like commercials for the show - shiny and fashiony but devoid of the relatable relationships that made me love the show. That's why I think they're unlikely to kill Samantha off - not superficial fluff enough.

The latter has made it clear and she just wants the former to leave her the heck alone. SPJ in her effort to maintain her aw shucks me persona seems incapable of just being like yep; and moving on. KC sounded like a woman who snapped. I don’t know the in and outs do what went down with her and SPJ but it’s clear it was probably a series of things over a longish period of time. And for all of the digs about Kim Cattrall’s career, as if to suggest she must be the problem because she’s not as famous as SPJ. She is doing just fine. She gets more work than anyone outside of SPJ - she doesn’t chase fame, she treats acting like a job and nothing more.
