He is getting his own sitcom on ABC. Wow ... Freddie and David Silver? Fucking ratings bonanza, folks. In other news they're still together. I don't quite understand why.

I agree he can't act. I've never seen one thing he was decent in. There is something off about his looks. I think it's his eyes and eyebrows, he always looks like he's in a constant state of surprise.

Awww he really can't act but I have a soft spot for him because his father was like my first celeb crush when I was a kid.
It's interesting that he plays a chef in this because supposedly he's a great cook in real life. If I recall he said in an interview that if he wasn't an actor he'd be a chef.

He is truly one of the worst actors in the past few years. And so many of his movies have these stupid, pretentious, pseudo-philosophical, wannabe poetic symbols and statements. Like in She's All That (hated the movie, hated the title, hated the whole cast) he did that thing about how playing hackey sack represents the quest to never fail, or whatever. And I never even saw Down to You, but I remember at Fametracker how so many people were making fun of it for shit like having two wine glasses represent virtue and...whatever's the opposite of virtue. Snorrrrrre.
But recently I was watching an episode of MutantX and in the opening credits, it said the show was written by Freddie Prinze, Jr. Is there a different Freddie Prinze, Jr? Because I had a hard time believing this one could actually write anything suitable for television.
But the episode wasn't bad, so I was somewhat impressed.

I don't care what anyone says: I think that he's super cute (especially with glasses). And I think that he and Sarah make a beautiful couple.
Those pics of him accepting his dad's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame were so sad. He was clearly in tears through the whole thing.

I am pretty sure he did write some episodes. I know he was writing for television; I just can't remember which show. But Mutant X faintly rings a bell.

From a TV Guide 2003 interview: Sorry, I'm still not convinced. So that's why he is such a crappy actor? What a ginormous tool.

I could see if he was Ryan Gosling or Ed Norton who regularly portray deeply complex and psychologically disturbed characters....
But Freddie chooses roles that are only slightly different versions of himself.
Then again, maybe playing himself is an emotionally scary thing.

I have to admit that was quite touching.
