I agree she's boring. She is a brand model for Louis Vuitton and she wears them a lot on red carpets so in fashion terms, she is an "icon"<--overused and wrongly used word that drives me crazy.
I also don't think she wants to be Jennifer Lawrence but I don't think it's hurting her. She's still getting lots and lots of work without having to deal with the press intrusiveness that celebrity brings. That's an accomplishment for both her and Michael Fassbender. I think her push reminds me of Julia Ormond. She was pushed hard for a while in the '90s and she was boring as f---. She still gets work though and she's a decent actress. What else can you ask for these days?

I was watching the latest Jason Bourne movie and I swear I just zoned out during her scenes.

I have caught a few of her movies on TV, but yeah, she's pretty forgettable once the credits start rolling. When I see her credits, I tend to remember the other faces, like A Royal Affair with the very charismatic Mads Mikkelsen.

I was watching the latest Jason Bourne movie and I swear I just zoned out during her scenes. Her American accent is god-awful in Jason Bourne. Is there a rule that a CIA operative has to be US-born? If not, they should have just thrown in a line that her character was born in Sweden and emigrated to the US.

What else can you ask for these days? I wonder where her career will go now? She and Fassbender have a string of flops and her upcoming projects don't look promising. The most interesting thing about Alicia Vikander's "look" is the fact that many people I've seen online will spark debates on what her supposed "race" is. Which is weird because race is an ever changing social construct and outside of the English speaking world people are more likely to identify by their nationality and or ethnic background and don't see "race" the same way Anglophone countries do. I mean "Asian" is a "race" but it's a continent but for some odd reason many don't consider West Asians to be "Asian" and by American census standards, they're considered "white" and we lump South Asians and East Asians together to be of the same "Asian racial category" despite looking and being culturally nothing alike. An Eastern European friend told me that describing someone as "black" to them simply denoted someone with dark hair or a darker skin complexion. Alicia Vikander would be "black" by that definition. And centuries ago European explorers use to consistently describe East Asians as being "white people" because they had white skin. No conversation about Vikander should conclude without mention of how very, very plain she is, and how she has the least-memorable face since Siena Miller. Every Tomb Raider preview had me like, ‘Her? Really?’ a la Arrested Development. She does look very "pedestrian" and basic. I'm glad Tomb Raider flopped because I don't want to see her face as Lara again. Her upcoming projects don't look to promising critically or box office wise either. I wonder if she'll try joining Marvel, Star Wars or one of Disney's live action remakes in the future. She should go to tv or streaming services. Like doing a Netflix or Amazon show or something on HBO. Maybe get into more voice acting for video games, audio books or cartoons and movies.

I thought I was going to open up this thread and find that she had some big new project, LOL. Fassbender has virtually become a full-time amateur racecar driver and she seems to be off doing obscure European movies that will never be on my radar. Maybe they are just enjoying life, but career-wise she's the embodiment of the Best Supporting Actress curse.

I always get her confused with Emily “torso” Ratajowaki for some reason.

I thought she was good in Ex Machina, but she was playing a robot. I have not seen her in anything else that I can recall.

I thought she was great in "A Royal Affair."
