I don't care about the wrinkles but her skin looks rough. Is that sun damage?

Possibly. However, I think a lot of it has to do with the lighting of the photo. Granted, it doesn't have photoshop, but photoshop has its benefits for under/over exposed photos or to make exposure adjustments.
I think her face looks fantastic, which I'm sure has to do with her beauty and skin care line.

Her husband has released another picture of Cindy in a bikini, where did the horizontal lines go that were across her abdomen? Link

She's lying down. That can hide a multitude of flaws.

Lighting can also play a big part in hiding/exaggerating things. It's possible the lighting in the Marie Claire photo made her stretch marks look worse than they really are. Though don't many social media apps, like Instagram, have little features to help you altar photos?

Threatening to sue over leaked photo, stating that it was photoshopped to make her look worse. Okay then. Please do explain who would have the motive to do such a thing. Is it a rival skin care company who hired someone to work undercover and get close to the photographer and when the opportunity arrives they steal pics of Cindy Crawford and take them to an undisclosed location to be photoshopped and distributed? Sorry. I think it's easier to believe that it was a picture of a beautiful woman with some sun damage who happened to be in an unflattering position in that split second moment. Since it's apparent the pic was leaked, I wonder if the person who leaked it had a point to make about the female body or if were they just looking for some cash or both. That's about as deep as this mystery story goes.

Jeez, who cares? If it bothers her that much (which it obviously does) post a "true" pic of yourself and laugh it off. Oh, wait, that's exactly what she did (re the first part). Sit down, Cindy.

I suspected she was not thrilled with having this leaked. At the time a lot of people praised her for having the courage to release an untouched photo of herself. Nope. A day or two after the leak her husband posted an Instagram pic of her looking hot in a bikini. She was definitely not ok with this being leaked. I don't think they photoshopped her to look worse, but the lighting was bad and she's a normal 49 year old. I think she should've let it go or embraced it.

If that photo is real, its more shocking to me that she would pose like that, expecting all of that to be photoshopped out. Has photography gotten that fake?
I'm not saying she looks bad. She looks good for a real late 40's woman. But she does not look like someone who should be posing for bikini clad fashion photographs anymore.

That's about as deep as this mystery story goes. Seems to me that with technology, people have dreamed up endless ways to try to embarrass and humiliate women (famous or not), and why not knock a good looking "older woman" down a few pegs by making it seem like her much-vaunted "great body" at 49 is all smoke and mirrors? A few years ago, someone doctored a video of Beyonce singing on the Today Show to sound worse than she really did, claiming it was the "real" audio. People who didn't like her eagerly latched onto it, even though it was obviously fake, but Bey makes quite a few people seethe and willing to believe the worst about her. Cindy Crawford? IDK, I don't think the theory that it was a rival of Dr. Sebagh's or something is that crazy? Or just some bored intern who thought it would be a "fun" thing to do because he/she could. FWIW, Christie Brinkley also says Cindy doesn't look like that: A lawsuit seems an extreme response, though. Surprised she didn't just "randomly" show up on Fallon or Kimmel in a bikini and just laugh off the rumors within a week or two.
