Scott Speedman would also bring me back to Alias.

He doesn't have any movies in the works, according to IMDB, so leaving the show would seem to be a career-killing move. No visibility = no work, in Hollywood. He'll have to hook up with some famous actress to keep his name out there. I like him, but I agree with above posters that he has shown litttle range. He needs to play a bad guy to shake things up a bit.

It must be awkward to have to work with JG, esp the romantic stuff, I don't care how cool they're supposed to be.

Yes, Scott would bring me back too. I doubt it though as he stated once he would never do a TV series again.

Michael was a little dark in One Hour Photo, so I think he does have range to play a 'baddie'.

OT, but supposedly Speedman is being considered for both Alias and ER (and thus interested). God, I have half a mind to call up the casting directors of both shows and tell them that Speedy will significantly boost their audience.

Give me Michael Vartan over Scott Speedman any day. Never saw the appeal of Speedman. He looks like he's asleep half the time and has the personality of a piss ant.

I never watched Felicity, so I can't comment on Speedman one way or another. But, I could always take or leave Vaughn, they gotta have a love interest, right?

However, when he was suddenly EVERYWHERE - on every mission with Syd, etc - I got real tired of him, real quick. Always having the boyfriend around turned Sydney into a wimp. She was no longer the kick-ass girl she was during season one and most of two and spent nearly all of season three moping around because her boyfriend married someone else. I liked it better when Syd went out to save the world while Vaughn the desk jockey stayed behind and fretted.

I never saw any of this great chemistry between Vartan and Garner, although I guess something was there since they dated in real life, but I always thought Vaughn had better chemistry with Jack than he did Syd - not really in a sexual way, but Vartan's scene's with Victor Garber always had more spark than his scenes with Garner.

If he decides to leave, then I'm fine with that. The show was always about Sydney and Jack in my mind. I wouldn't mind seeing him in other projects since judging from the behind-the-scenes stuff I've seen on Alias Vartan isn't nearly as boring as Vaughn is.

The only drawbacks I see is that this will only heap more tragedy onto Syd, which may weigh things down, and once this is confirmed, the rabid Syd/Vaughn 'shippers (who scared me so bad after Vaughn got married that I wouldn't go near a website that dealt with Alias in any way, shape, or form for almost a year) are going to freak out.

I think Vartan and Garner had chemistry in the first 2 seaosns, then it was killed. Whether or not the offscreen thing had something to do with it is still a good question. I think both characters turned into bores and barely smiled onscreen or showed range.

It will be interesting to see if Vartan and his people make a statement soon on his leaving Alias.

Well, I'm one of those shippers, but not rapid, and I'm not freaking out. I love Michael Vartan and never saw that he was "everywhere" on Alias. In fact, I can probably count the minutes in each episode that he appeared in and never saw that he pulled Sydney down. You either like an actor or you don't and I don't like Jennifer Garner. That said, I think it's a good thing that MV is leaving, even though not confirmed. and certainly cannot blame him since Alias is now turning into the Garner pregnancyfest, which apparently she wanted and got. Since only half of the original cast is left, I've lost all interest in it and with MV gone, could care less if it bombs before it hits midseason.

She loves who she loves. You don't know Michael or Ben personally.

I like MV, I don't think he's a famewhore, and I hope he stays on Alias. His character never bugged me, and I've been a fan since the beginning. I love JG as well, and I can't wait to see what they are doing with the show, now that she's pregnant. Hope they don't cheese out on it. If Michael and Jen can't be together, I guess that's how it is, if they can't work together, I guess that's how is. Nothing we can do about it.
