I thought MV was cute in Never Been Kissed (although I thought the movie was awful on the whole). He looks kind of sensitive, although he was also good in One Hour Photo (as posted previously) so maybe he has some range at least.

Well, I'm one of those shippers, but not rapid, and I'm not freaking out. I love Michael Vartan and never saw that he was everywhere on Alias. In fact, I can probably count the minutes in each episode that he appeared in and never saw that he pulled Sydney down. You either like an actor or you don't and I don't like Jennifer Garner. That said, I think it's a good thing that MV is leaving, even though not confirmed. and certainly cannot blame him since Alias is now turning into the Garner pregnancyfest, which apparently she wanted and got. Since only half of the original cast is left, I've lost all interest in it and with MV gone, could care less if it bombs before it hits midseason.

I love Vartan. Always have, even when others hated him on the show. If they replace him with Speedman, I'll be done with it. If you're going to end it this season, end it w/ the original cast. That said, I'm not sure if I believe the rumors he's leaving. *spoiler*A French actor was just cast as an international thief who's been secretly working with Vaughn. If that's the case, why bring in this juicy storyline, only to kill Vaughn off (if that's what they are planning to do). It seems more plausible that Speedman will be replacing Weiss as their partner.*end spoiler info/speculation

I don't know...Kristen said specifically that the replacement was someone other than Weiss. My theory is that he'll turn out to be a bad guy and she'll have to kill him. I hope he at least gets to go out in spectacular fashion.

I agree with the earlier post that he and Victor Garber had more chemistry than he and JG. I'm so over her; my only hope for the show is that the new cast members will be cool and she'll have less screen time.
