Totally agree. Why would he get the GED? He's a multi-millionaire that will never have to work a regular job in his life. What would be the point?

ETA: Jim Carrey also dropped out of high school as well, and he of course ended up becoming a successful (and rich) actor, but surely that is not the norm. |

I just don't see it the same way, I guess. 1. He seems to think plenty high of himself already. 2. A GED is not a good example. (No offense to anyone with a GED. I know several very smart people that quit HS for totally valid reasons and I would never think less of anyone that has done so. But a GED just isn't something people normally want for their kids.)

Since he runs a youth foundation dedicated to bettering the lives of inner-city youth -- a place where GEDs are already in dangerously short supply and where finishing high school can make a crucial difference in somebody's life -- I think it's not just Mark's own kids that he could set an example for.

He is a complete and utter asshole. I've hated him ever since I found out about his racist, violent past. This just makes me hate him all the more.
On another note, I don't understand why he's against masturbation. When did he get so religious?

What I find really odd about MW's Catholicism is that he goes on about how important it is for him to be a traditional Catholic father, but he had 3 kids with Rhea Durham before he married her. Now, I don't believe parents need to married to raise children, but he does, so what's up with that? It makes me wonder what their relationship was like, seeing as he (or she?) would rather compromise his beliefs over and over again, than actually take the plunge. |
