I just wanted to bring this over from Dumb Celebrity quotes, courtesy of ShalamarHa! I remember looking at some coffee table style book about Marky Mark in 1992 or 1993. The dedication read, "I wanna dedicate this book to my dick." That has always stuck with me.

Why, why would he even mention this? Especially now 10 yrs after the attack. It seems such a stupid thing to talk about in an interview.
I routinely read interviews where celebs shoot their mouths off or say something ridiculous and I can only imagine when that happens that the interviewer is thinking, jackpot! I don't know what's worse celebs who are so managed they can barely say their own name or celebs who insist on confirming their stupidity Everytime they open their mouths.

He just sounds like a very angry and aggressive man. And also a total dickhead. Exactly. For me the "wow, this guy is a dick" moment came when he threatened to beat up Andy Samberg over "Mark Wahlberg talks to animals". Sure he came and "made fun of it" the next week, but that it had to be explained to him? Really dude, it's a comedy show.

Well, in fairness, physically attacking more than one person and using racial slurs are pretty damning. That's about all I need to know about someone to judge them. I'm not saying he hasn't changed, but his comments were dick comments from a guy who has never been exactly humble.
I think he made the 9/11 comments to explain his love for his family, which is fine to express, but it is really insulting to those that were on the plane. He's implying they didn't "love" their family enough to fight back.
This also annoys me the way Jay-Z's statement that he won't use the word "b*tch" anymore annoys me. Yeah, because now that you have a vested interest in the word, it's not okay to use, but it was before that? The people on the planes all had families and it was a tragedy for them. But because in this hypothetical situation it's HIS family, so they somehow have a higher priority than anyone else's?

I know Wahlberg has a sketchy past and issues with anger. He made it seem years ago that he'd moved on. But I still get a barely-contained angerspolsion vibe from him.

Here's the quotes about his criminal past and his lack of guilt now. He's a real talker, but his words seem empty. He wants so badly to say the right thing and do the right thing. He has his youth foundation, his relgion and family. It's like he's playing the role of 'good guy' in his real life without truly feeling it or understanding what that means. I've always liked him and thought the way he has tried to make amends with his past was commendable, but now with reading these particular quotes in succession I get a creepy vibe about him.

I give him credit for this. He's at least smart enough to realize he's too dumb to pass it.

I wouldn't get my GED either if I were him. What's the point?
Everything else recently mentioned in this thread is inexcusable, but that I can understand.
