At the end of the day does it really matter to a wealthy white guy if he’s bald or not? Will it harm his career? Is it an ego thing? Guess I know what I’ll be pondering today 🤔

And John Travolta looks 1000x better since ditching that weird hairpiece he used to sport.

And John Travolta looks 1000x better since ditching that weird hairpiece he used to sport. He really does! And the reveal in the Pitbull video was so cute. It kinda makes me wonder if the hairpiece was a Kelly thing. On topic - I really doubt that Owen is bald. His hair might be thinning. But I subscribe to the "Hanging on to his glory days" theory with him.

Wilson is one of the most forgettable celebrities out there IMO.

I’ve certainly seen some of the classic Owen comedy roles over the years, but he never hit my radar in a meaningful way until I watched “Loki” this summer on Disney+, where he played the character of “Mobius M. Mobius.” I am definitely not a particular MCU fan and haven’t seen all the movies, but I really like time travel stories, and I like high concept sci-fi and comics stuff (like WandaVision), so I gave “Loki” a try.
I *loved* Owen in his role on this show. (It’s like my favorite character portrayal of 2021.) He had amazing chemistry with Tom Hiddleston, to the point that, since they had Loki obliquely acknowledge in the show that he was bi, I was like, Mobius and Loki should be endgame, they click together that well (although I know that this will never, ever happen). But regardless, Owen just created an incredibly likable character in his own right, no matter with whom he was interacting in the show. He really became a fan favorite from what I saw in the online chatter around the show this summer (which was a big hit for Disney+), and I understand that he ad-libbed some great contributions to the show, too.
So I started reading some articles about the show/ watching some online discussions, etc. I need to remind myself not to do this and just enjoy the story on the screen and leave it alone because you always find out things that make you sad.
Like, there was a cute gifset I saw of a “Night at the Museum” scene he had with Steve Coogan that was referencing Loki, and I was like, “oh, I wonder if Steve and Owen are friends,” and then I Googled that and came up with old stories about how some blame Steve Coogan for being the catalyst that dragged Owen into that terrible addiction spiral that led to his suicide attempt (and that Steve was the unnamed friend he had fought with right before he tried it). And then I came here and read about this paternity drama on the prior page, which is also quite sad. It sounds like Owen’s had a decades-long battle with depression, so I just hope that he is well-treated for it these days.
I saw he has the “new” (released early 2021) Salma Hayek movie on Amazon Prime, and even before watching Loki, I thought the commercials looked good and the movie looked promising (I’m a Salma fan in general) but the Tomato-meter rating is abysmal (28%), so maybe I won’t check that out.

Yes, I've been largely indifferent to Owen Wilson, and I really liked him in Loki. He was a lot of fun. Loki/Sylvie/Mobius OTT all the way!

I can't hear Owen Wilson speak and not think of Lightning McQueen, heh. Mom to three boys here (born 2006-2011) and the Cars franchise was an obsession for each one from like 18 mos to 5 years.
That said, I still loved Loki and the Mobius character.
