I have also never seen Titanic (and have no desire to), and Leo has never done it for me either. Celine's music has never appealed to me, but she seems delightful. I have never seen anyone have anything bad to say about her. I remember yeeears ago when Ana Gasteyer played her on SNL. I remember seeing interviews with Ana and others that were on SNL at the time, and they had nothing but nice things to say about Celine and how gracious she is and was always willing to make fun of herself. She seems like a pretty cool person. Aah, Ana Gasteyer! I loved her on SNL, with her musical theater background--she sang as well or better than the singers she parodied. Fun fact: she went on to play Elphaba in the Chicago production of Wicked after she left SNL, and went on to reprise the role on Broadway!

If we're grading on the curve of Celine's wacky couture collection, I quite like this one.
Also, it seems as if she's gotten the last laugh when it comes to all those stories people used to make of her about not speaking for days/weeks/months on end in between performances. Because, damn did that woman sound amazing last night.
Her voice has changed very very little since her heyday in the '90s. And when you think of the other divas of her era, and how their voices steadily declined, the fact that she's taken such great care over her instrument is really a testament to her dedication to her voice. Mad respect.

Mad respect. I was struck by that too. I was listening to a hilarious podcast on Billy Joel ("We Didn't Start the Podcast") and they talked about how when performing certain songs live now, Billy practically has to sing them an octave lower than they were originally performed because he just can't hit those notes anymore. Elton John can't either, neither can Mariah. Most pop singers seem to ruin their pipes with one or both of the two biggest voice-trashers: booze and cigarettes. Celine no doubt has avoided both and she sounds amazing as a result.

Very few people could wear that dress and not have the dress wearing them. Celine is that one. And still tasteful with the insert in the deep V.

Normally I'd hate it, but it kind of works for her.

It seems Drake is a fan. Also, Celine's oldest son has a refreshingly normal Instagram account. It doesn't reek of celebspawn entitlement or perfectly cropped-n-filtered fantasy destinations, just a kid who likes hockey and occasionally gets to take pics with celebs.

I have always loved Celine. I wore out my copy of All The Way. I feel like she is truly a good person and I am happy that she is having a sort of popularity resurgence amongst the younger crowd.
I love her segment with Jimmy Fallon of Wheel Of Impressions.

Nothing against Celine, but my first impression of the dress was that censors had pixelated something obscene on her midsection.
