This was before the term “road rage”. I think my issue is it’s been done better 50 years ago (I’m old....). And by showing the bad guy, there is too much of a chance to root for him. It also looks like it sucks. Sucks buckets. I really liked The Nice Guys, so much I watch it about once a month. But maybe that because I love Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Iron Man 3).

I was just about to post this! I saw Duel on TV when I was little, and it was riveting. Nice debut for Spielberg. I feel like a modern version would be really tacky.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the trailer. The movie looks like it sucks and it REALLY is the wrong time to release it. I don't think any time is the time to release that crap. Strictly direct to DVD.

Wonder if a straight to DVD release will end up happening...I see the release date has been pushed back again, to July 30th now.

I think that’s what they should have done in the first place because I can’t imagine that many people going to see it in theaters even if there was no pandemic. At least this way, they can try to save face and blame it on Covid-19.

I have no idea why they keep delaying this movie instead of just releasing it On Demand. I can see why they keep pushing back Mulan and Tenet because those are obviously huge movies, but this one? After seeing the commercials, I’m surprised it wasn’t straight to DVD in the first place. Maybe the makers somehow got a contract that demands a theater release.

I think even if he DID receive a metric fuck ton of money someone will be on the receiving end of one of his tantrums if this film does badly. Hide the telephones. He showed no remorse the last time.

Saw an article about him today where he is quoted as saying it is a timely movie, as there is a "white hot rage" out in the world today, and it's a shame people can't disagree respectfully (or some such). Does he not have even the slightest bit of self awareness? At least that's the first thought that came to my mind!

He's a wealthy white dude who's never suffered any real consequences for his temper tantrums, so I'd say no.
