Apparently she's flashing around an engagement ring. Either Mommy Spears coughed up the cash for the ring or Casey "found" the ring in a kinder surprise egg as I can't see how he couldn't afford to buy one himself.
I guess the knocked up 16yr old getting married somehow makes the whole situation better in the eyes of the Spears clan.

If she is getting married, I hope it's because she and the boy love each other and want to make a future together (I still don't think it will work but that's neither here nor there  ). I just hope they're not getting married out of some misguided sense of propriety - having married parents won't make the child's life better all by itself. That baby needs stability and love and it can have that irrespective of the parents' marital situation. But getting married for the wrong reasons has the real potential to make Jamie and the father's life hell. |

One bad decision after another. For a family that had very few scruples about pimping out their adolescent daughter for money, they (Lynn I should say) sure do have a problem with how they look to the outside because of Jamie-Lynn's pregnancy. Good thing for Jamie-Lynn, shipping your pregnant teenage daughter away to a "home" has fallen out of fashion, because I'm sure Lynn would have sent her at the word go.

If they are still together and they are having a baby I can see how they would consider marriage. I'm not saying it's necessarily going to last, but I understand how they would want to give it a shot.
