I'm sorry but Jamie Lynn being pregnant again is soooo easy to believe. Lynn taught them well how to use their sexuality to sell themselves and, while I thought Jamie was less sexualized than Britters, how are they supposed to know when to draw the line?

The National Enquirer (online) is reporting that JamieLynn is pregnant with baby #2 - allegedly she thought she couldn't get pregnant while breastfeeding. I thought that old wives' tale was debunked when I was a new parent - in 1976.....

It can happen, but it's not common, especially if you are exculsively breastfeeding. I hate to be all crunchy granola, but it's nature's birth control. It's not an old wive's tale, it's just like any form of birth control -- if you don't want to get pregnant, use some and even then, no sex at all is the only guarantee.

I feel bad for her and her kids if she's pregnant again, but I don't think this is some white trash idiot pregnancy. I didn't use birth control for almost a year after my daughter was born -- didn't have my period for nine months.

At the risk of veering totally off-topic: The problem with using BFing as birth control is that you'll be fertile before you know that you are. Since a woman usually ovulates 14 days before beginning her period, you're playing russian rouillette. (And I exclusively BFd both my children. With one, I began cycling again at 4 months post-pardum. With the other, it was at 3.)

Now on-topic: I don't think it is true. But, if it is, I really feel sad for all three children: Jamie-Lynn and her two babies.

While I'm sure that the Spears' girls sex education was and is woefully lacking this story seems almost too *OMG, white trash!* to be true. It's like a couple of tabloid journalists were sitting around wondering what to write now that Britney has rediscovered her ability to shower and dress herself properly and decided that this story of teenage pregnancy # 2 would make a juicy next installment in the whole Spears clan drama.

Did she break up with her boyfriend who got her pregnant the first time?

If she's pregnant by another man while not having broken up with the first one then I think this story does kind of fit into the trashy bin. If she got pregnant a second time because she thought breastfeeding was a form of birth control I would immediately assume that the father was the first boyfriend rather than a new one.

I think the pregnancy is less of a shock to me (if she's living with the first boyfriend and they're functioning as husband and wife a second pregnancy so soon afer the first birth doesn't seem that strange) than that she'd get pregnant so soon by another man.

I don't generally believe any tabloids but doesn't the National Enquirer sometimes get a story right? They broke the John Edwards baby story pretty early on. I refused to believe it because it seemed like such a strange story to me (family-man politician cheating on his wife who has CANCER, then gets weird, loopy woman he's cheating with pregnant); suddenly a year later the story is all over the mainstream, legitimate media and confirmed to be true.

Her baby-daddy Casey was in a serious single car crash last night. There were reports that he suffered a hematoma and possible blood clot near the brain, but is now in stable condition. TMZ is reporting that he has been charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle and that there were three passengers in the truck, with Casey's injuries being the most severe.

The other day I was trying to find the name of this photographer who is amazing, my friend's parents have a piece. Anyway, my first google search was "white trash teen pic" and all the links that popped up were for this chick and Sarah Palin's kid.

I never figured out that photog's name, because then barely legal porn links started after the Spears stuff.

Jamie Lynn is goin' country!

Jamie Lynn Spears, 20, took to a Nashville stage for the first time on Monday night, singing a set of her own original songs to a packed crowd of family and friends.

Grandfather June Spears traveled from the family's hometown of Kentwood, La., with other relatives (although not sister Britney Spears, who is touring overseas) to cheer on Jamie Lynn, sitting near her beaming parents Lynne and Jamie Spears, as well as country music legend Pam Tillis.

"I am so emotional tonight," Lynne told PEOPLE after watching her youngest daughter perform. Her father, Jamie, concurred, saying, "We are so proud of her."

Spears, who has been living in Nashville the past two years with her daughter, Maddie, 3, performed at The Rutledge, a live music venue on 4th Avenue South and took to Twitter to express her appreciation.

"Just wanna thank all my amazing friends and family for coming out tonight!!!" she wrote.
