I just noticed that ROTS is currently polling at 93% over on Rotten Tomatoes. I don't remember how the first two prequels fared this early but I don't think it was ever that high.
It will be interesting to see how things shape up once more reviews come in. Isn't the first major press screening this Sunday?

AOTC got good (as in 'it's soo much better than the first one' and the infamous 'five star' empire review) reviews- people only started to realize what an absolute pile of crap it was a few weeks after release.

You know. I just came here because well. This whole Star Wars Episode III thing has been infiltraiting everything so heavily that even ME of all people are being affected.
You see...I saw the first movie in at the theater when I was a small child. My older sister was forced to take me with her on an "afteroon date" and I saw the movie. I remember everyone saying "oooo ahhhh! The special effects are so great" I was just bored. I never saw TEPSB, but ended up, on accident, with a bunch of action figures which became little servants in my Barbie kingdom. I saw Return of the Jedi with my mom. It's a big memory for me. I sorta liked the movie. Mostly for the Ewoks, but mostly for being there with my mom.
I've never seen any of the other Star Wars movies. I have no interest in them, not even at the proding of my obsessed nephews.
The point of my post is. This darn Episode III thing has gotten so big, that even me, someone who couldn't give two toots about the whole darned thing is being affected. I keep having Star Wars dreams and they are disturbing me. I might have to see Episode III just to cure myself. Damn you Mr. Lucas! Or maybe it will pass....please let it pass.

Lucas is making a guest appearance on The OC as himself. The guy's making more money he could spend in ten lifetimes and he's whoring himself out to sell a product that sells itself? Hey, George, I'd like to introduce you to self-respect. It's a beautiful thing. Jerk.

Aggghhh!! Not the O.C.! George Lucas is such a douche. Star Wars isn't something for teenage hipsters. I have to say I'm really looking forward to Ep. 3. Chewbacca hooray!

Dear George,
I can call you George, right? Well, anyway. Please don't ever "act" again. It was painful to behold.
Thanks,
Me.

On ifilm they have a spoof called Star Wars Episode III: A Lost Hope. It's about the 6th one down. Kinda weird, but I have to admit I giggled a little. Possible spoilers. link

EwanMcGregor.Net has the latest stills from the premiere in London this evening. (Ewan won't be at the Cannes premiere because he's doing Guys and Dolls in London for most of this year).

Just read a review by Guardian critic Peter Bradshaw, which is the one overtly negative review I have seen. He pretty much sums up what I am expecting:
"pointy buildings with swarms of pointy aircraft", sub-Shakespearian dialogue passing for wisdom, and Hayden displaying his sheer evilness by "tilting his head down, looking up through lowered brows, and giving the unmistakable impression that he is very, very cross".
But of course bad reviews are a lot more fun to read than good ones.
