Did anyone else see the premiere of the full trailer last night during The OC? I know I'm most likely setting myself up for disappointment, but danged if I'm not excited to see this.

I'm pretty excited, only for the chance to see if Lucas can make one freakin' prequel episode that doesn't sound like the actors' dialogue was written by a 5 year old. But I'm not bitter or anything.

I didn't see it. I went hunting online afterwards but people seem to be pretty determined to keep it off the internet. Hmmm.

I've... I've just been hurt too many times before...
Seriously, while it looks exciting, that's what I thought about the trailers for the other prequels. I'll see it, of course - I look at the Star Wars movies like a family Thanksgiving, you expect that you're not going to have a good time but you feel some kind of nostalgic urge to go anyway - but I just can't convince myself that this is going to be a great film or is going to make up for the clumsiness of the last two.

That's probably the best description of it I've heard.
I'll be there. I mean, I can't not see it. Star Wars or no, it's a Ewan McGregor movie, and I think there's some unwritten law that I must be at all his movies on opening night no matter what.
I didn't see the trailer, either. Was it a lot of new stuff? Are they really going to try and keep it off the web?

As of right now it's only available to Hyperspace and AOL members, but I think it'll be out for everyone else fairly soon, within a couple of days, I think.
I'm trying not to keep my expectations from getting sky high, but damn if that didn't look awesome. I'm cautiously excited.

An article in my paper said the trailer will be available for everyone on starwars.com beginning Monday.
I was a little annoyed that the preview last night ran past the 8:00 mark. Due to the fact we can only record two channels on DVR and had two things going at 8:00 we missed the very end. Stupid programming gods.
Anyway, it looked good and I'm really excited.

Alternately, you can try hereThis, really, is what I have been waiting for all this time. That and why Luke and Leia were separated. Like a dork, you gotta wonder these things. It makes their reunion and Luke's crush on Leia in Star Wars all the ickier. And man, I miss Alec Guiness. (ETA: You can access this trailer even if you aren't an AOL member, like me, just not the extra large one).
